I'm playing the Hotel Utah in SF this friday night; a certain adamrl may be in attendance, and possibly a mr. raggett.

oh and i guess hardly strictly bluegrass is in ggp now, it used to be in stern grove, didn't it? i don't remember.

i am in Stockton until Halloween at least ... an hour-and-a-half away. if anyone cares.

HSB is awesome! Its free, its in the park, and there are always at least a handful of cool performers at any given time - Will Oldham and Ralph Stanley and Doc Watson, etc

lolz M White comes correct as usual. I will definitely be there this year with the wife and young'un in tow - hopefully to see Plant but we'll see how it shakes out. Seein Doc Watson and Earl Scruggs a few years ago was aces, unfortunately I caught a cold and had to miss Dolly Parton :(

My gf does the travel for the Festival so I've gone for the last three or four years to at least a couple of shows. I usually prefer the Rooster stage but they spread the talent 'round really well.

i found Steve's advice to pack lunch and spend a day at Angel Island v well-taken. it was mostly brilliantly sunny on a day when much of the bay was fogged in and i found the 6 hour investment in doing the perimeter road (and what was open below it) and taking lots of pictures to be about right, if a lot more than i planned on, but ymmv.

that was part of the awesome, actually. and less than 1/2 of what i encountered was fire-damaged.

SF-88 is open for visiting from Wednesday to Friday of every week as well as the first Saturday of every month. Visiting hours are from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The site is closed during wet weather for your safety. During the week, our site manager John leads periodic tours of the RADAR vans, the fueling area and the missile magazine. During the first Saturday of every month we have an open house with volunteers and Nike Veterans interpreting each of the areas on the base. We also have protection dog demonstrations during some open houses.

i drove past the missile base. the scenery around there - at pt bonita lighthouse and the viewpoints of the bridge along conzelman rd - are more interesting (to a gabbneb).

My dad used to work in the Headlands (GGNRA) when I was a kid. I used to go to that place all the time but before it was restored.
