Schneider is so great in Bright Star. More period romances need hecklers.

Schneider is great in everything, which is why his non-presence on this show was so surprising.

I feel like this show has gotten less funny but somehow I don't care when Chris Pratt is a burgeoning Women's Studies scholar (total pandering to me, and I lap it up) and Amy Poehler and Adam Scott get all emo

The closing seconds of this one, w/ Pratt in class, were the highlight IMO.

This series is not doing it for me at all. I dunno, maybe I'm over it.

this one seemed a little like they were coasting... leaning on pretty straight riffs of each character's quirks.

it wasn't the best episode but i'm glad they went ahead and revived the ben/leslie relationship instead of leaving them hanging all season, should make things more interesting going forward. also i liked the racist lady in the town hall meeting, and ron telling the guitar teacher she should be a brunette.

For what it’s worth, you’d make an incredible brunette.

the best parts about the racist lady were the expressions on the faces of the black couple sitting a few chairs over from her

wasn't crazy about the tom/jerry plot (tom is my least fave character at this point and i'm an aziz ansari defender) but i liked tom's disgust at turning into jerry, going home to a loving wife and three beautiful daughters, eating a home-cooked meal.

Wld like to know about Jerry's other two daughters tbrr

I am a sappy dork and I enjoyed this episode quite a bit.

Yeah, I think n/a OTM. It certainly wasn't as funny as the last couple of episodes, but there was a nice emotional pay-off.

This week's was better but, yeah, the secret sauce is missing. It was a good episode with good gags, but the pace is slower? Not as sharp? Can't quite put my finger on it.

i think the shoe has crossed my cutesy threshold. i'm starting to get scrubs vibes, maybe idk.

pretty great ep - good callback to ben's inexplicable preference of calzones over pizza, and loved the slow uncomfortable attempt to get lesley on the stage at the ice rink with the music stopping and starting

Yeah, I lost my shit every single time the song started over during the scene. Also, I used to own that exact same Letters to Cleo shirt.

was watching this at the gym and i had to restrain from laughing uncontrollably at the slow walk to the stage. it started when they reached the end of the red carpet.

ron! how am i supposed to get onto that tiny stage??

(or whatever the actual lines are...leslie's indignation at each stage of the walk was hilarious)

And even though you saw the failed dunk coming from a mile away, its execution was still perfect.

the one thing that seemed false about this episode is that none of the things that went wrong were actually Ann's fault, so I don't really see why it all boiled down to her being a terrible campaign manager (unless the unspoken thing is that she didn't ask questions Ben would have, like "Ron, do you have a license to drive the truck?"; the ice rink thing would have been unrecoverable for anyone afaict)
