I like RJG.

I liked it when I visited his house.

the bluefox, Saturday, 14 February 2004 15:41 (twenty-two years ago)

come again? yeah, you should. it's always great fun.

yeah, this is the place to be. try glasgow more. try 148 most. etc.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 14 February 2004 17:32 (twenty-two years ago)

my prediction above came true.

strongo hulkington (dubplatestyle), Saturday, 14 February 2004 17:35 (twenty-two years ago)

I saw this group called the Spinto Band. Probably the best "unknown" band I've seen in town (though this time they didn't play their covers of "Just What I Needed" and "Walk The Dinosaur" - they're trying be more respectable or something). And for the first time ever, I had to help work the door and take money and whatever. At first I was annoyed but they gave me free beer, which was much appreciated at this all-ages show. Plus it meant I didn't have to watch the "emo" band.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Saturday, 14 February 2004 18:35 (twenty-two years ago)

and though I got home fine without engaging in much alcoholic stupidity, I then went on to DREAM about being kicked out of bars and vomiting all over myself, which was almost as unpleasant as the real thing.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Saturday, 14 February 2004 18:37 (twenty-two years ago)

So, yeah, I went to a ballroom dance, managed to spill candlewax all over the president of the Jewish Society, and then spent a long period of time swapping Italian jokes with a Jamaican.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Saturday, 14 February 2004 18:41 (twenty-two years ago)

I got invited to another party.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Rosemary, why are you called Tokyo Rosemary?

I have never known.

the bellefox, Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:04 (twenty-two years ago)

I know but I wanna hear Rosemary tell the story. :-)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:10 (twenty-two years ago)

I swear I've told you this before pinefox.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:38 (twenty-two years ago)

The story involves college message boards, a conceptual band, an Australian pen pal, and some Kennedy biographies. I got stuck with the Tokyo Rosemary moniker while my best friend became Axis Sally.

(Please tell I do not have to explain the TR/AS references)

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:44 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, and many many semesters of being a college DJ were involved.

tokyo rosemary and axis sally on the radio DO YOU SEE??

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh yeah, and I got drunk last night. And burnt by someone's cigarette, ow.

tokyo rosemary (rosemary), Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:48 (twenty-two years ago)

Me too rosemary...

sitting on a friday night? how do we feel about this. i'm kind of into it, even tho it feels kind of awful. maybe that's part of the allure? decadence of emotion? not sure.

Surmounter, Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:02 (seventeen years ago)

is sitting code for something?

highly theoretical, of course. (tehresa), Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:05 (seventeen years ago)

haha no sorry. just sitting at home :)

Surmounter, Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:06 (seventeen years ago)

We feel crappy about it, over here.

ian, Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:11 (seventeen years ago)

aww. loud music helps?

Surmounter, Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:12 (seventeen years ago)

Maybe after Law & Order.

ian, Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:16 (seventeen years ago)

;) sweet

Surmounter, Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:18 (seventeen years ago)

i am also home, after dinner with friends (early dinner) because i have a stupid cold and can't function well enough to go enjoy the party they're all attending now. a;lskjg.

highly theoretical, of course. (tehresa), Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:35 (seventeen years ago)

ugh my friends all went home early cause they are painting houses in the lower 9th ward in the morning and don't understand my deepseated desire to stay out til dawn and watch college football all hungover all day tomorrow. so malt liquor, new order and the irritatingly comforting old ilx stylesheet it is.

adam, Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:38 (seventeen years ago)

i'm sick, so I 'm smoking some crusty old brown w33d i just dug ouit my desk. rat hairs take me away

burt_stanton, Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:41 (seventeen years ago)

i'm waiting for my mom to get home from taking care of an ill relative. i'm moving early next week so sitting at home right now is just fine. adam's idea sounds kinda good though.

Maria, Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:44 (seventeen years ago)

i'm doing like that guy above, but instead i'm ironing my dick. oh shit i left the iron on. [sizzle]

burt_stanton, Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:44 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah, I'm the guy you want to get stoned with.

burt_stanton, Saturday, 11 October 2008 03:44 (seventeen years ago)

i was being coy wrt malt liquor. i really meant "i am drinking all the sparks i impulse bought at the grocery store today" which does not bode well for anything but hiding under blankets and praying for death come dawn's light

adam, Saturday, 11 October 2008 04:03 (seventeen years ago)

wikipedia says this shit is 350 calories/can

adam, Saturday, 11 October 2008 04:03 (seventeen years ago)

prob be healthier to get an 8ball and a dozen krispy kreme and let nature take its course

adam, Saturday, 11 October 2008 04:05 (seventeen years ago)

dude that shit will give you major heartburn. eat some bland, heavy carbs pronto.
now listening to Michael Hurley and finishing a beer. Do I have another??? (have to leave the house for work before 11.)

ian, Saturday, 11 October 2008 04:08 (seventeen years ago)

have another. gotta keep some tums in the house at all times.

Surmounter, Saturday, 11 October 2008 04:09 (seventeen years ago)

heartburn is a way of life in new orleans. i'ma stick with sugary jittery fake booze and the misfits and gchat and pay the sparks devil his due with a shrug and perhaps some dry heaving upon his inevitable appearance. so it goes.

adam, Saturday, 11 October 2008 04:15 (seventeen years ago)

never heard of this drink before, and wow it looks like a bad thing to be drinking sitting at home! or, possibly, at all.

Maria, Saturday, 11 October 2008 04:18 (seventeen years ago)

sitting at home on a friday night can be underrated if the friday night involves tacos from the taco truck (w/hot salsa verde), margaritas and the red sox winning.

tipsy mothra, Saturday, 11 October 2008 04:20 (seventeen years ago)

i had taco truck tacos today. chicken & pork. and some mexican corn. damn shit is tasty.
i haven't had dinner yet. we have like 2.5 cartons of eggs for some reason, so i think i have to eat eggs & sausage with toast & grilled tomatoes.

ian, Saturday, 11 October 2008 04:24 (seventeen years ago)

ian is that on a stick? the corn, i mean? i saw some girl walking down bedford w/ corn on a stick and was v v curious.

highly theoretical, of course. (tehresa), Saturday, 11 October 2008 04:25 (seventeen years ago)

replace "taco truck tacos" with "banh mi" and we are all on the same page

adam, Saturday, 11 October 2008 04:26 (seventeen years ago)

tonight was mexican food (he: calabacita burrito, me: chicken mole poblano burrito, us: fried plantains) at loteria grill in hollywood. then we got our parking validated by buying a coffee cream puff at the hollywood & highland beard papa. we also wandered through the virgin megastore and didn't buy anything.

Schwarzwalder Kirschtorte (get bent), Saturday, 11 October 2008 05:04 (seventeen years ago)

yes, on da stick.
it's steamed or boiled corn then rolled in a mayo sauce, grated dry cheese & chili powder, more or less. v v good. from taco truck on bedford, not very spicy. from redhook ballfields, v v spicy & also drenched in lime juice for extra tingle

ian, Saturday, 11 October 2008 05:06 (seventeen years ago)

For those of you who went out and had sex, you just missed Whoopie Goldberg fight crime with a giant talking dinosour.

one year passes...

There might’ve been/might be a chipmunk in my garage.

Just brought home two AriZona green teas, one of which is for tonight.

they both have good names tho

mookieproof, Friday, 19 May 2017 23:51 (nine years ago)

both much better to have in your garage than silent hulking huntsman spiders

estela, Friday, 19 May 2017 23:57 (nine years ago)

what are garages called in your fair land

mookieproof, Saturday, 20 May 2017 00:47 (nine years ago)

o huntsman, so gentle yet SO fucking horrifying

Yoni Loves Chocha (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 20 May 2017 02:02 (nine years ago)

so true, i don't like it when people say, oh it won't hurt you, a moment after you've almost died of horror from a sudden apparition.

xp we call them garages however our pronunciation is equal-but-different
