Madchen, I'm not sure that cheap Bonzo on ebay is a real Bonzo. Look at this one, it's much nicer...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=65007&item=7322180395&rd=1

He still costs £27.99 less than I paid! Actually, I think those three dogs in the one lot are real, but the seller doesn't quite know what she's got, so she hasn't used the right keywords for searchers and has just called them 'sylvac style' which would put a lot of people off them.

Anyway, right, I have decided I will definitely be doing Eurovision at my house again. The show kicks off at 8pm, so I'll be ready for you from 6pm, OK? No showing up after the first song like last year please. I'll make some proper food to go with Alba's pipe.

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 19:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Hurray! Do you have teletext?

Cathy (Cathy), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 20:04 (twenty-one years ago)

yes

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 17 May 2005 20:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, Moldovan gypsy-rawk funsters Zdob si Zdub present their nation's first ever entry into Eurovision! HAI!

scotstvo (scotstvo), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 08:40 (twenty-one years ago)

www.eurovision.tv has all the lyrics, so I may print off song books for us all!

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 09:05 (twenty-one years ago)

well that was neither helpful nor useful.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 11:32 (twenty-one years ago)

it'll be fine.

anyway, thank you glasgow, again.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 11:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going to somerset, next month.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 12:28 (twenty-one years ago)

And I'm a Scottish tart.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 12:42 (twenty-one years ago)

You wish.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 13:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Sigh.

There is that Joy Division tribute night tonight, which I'd completely forgotten about, but which Glasgow should be going to since we'll lose money if it doesn't.

It's at The Queens Club, on Queen St, from 9pm onwards.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Does no-one want to go for a pint with me tomorrow then?

*cries*

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:27 (twenty-one years ago)

No. We hate you.

Actually it may be possible, only I had planned to perhaps do some shopping and then some washing and then nothing much. I will see how things go. Come out tonight!

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:32 (twenty-one years ago)

What Joy Division tribute night? There is one on 6 Music, but it's a tribute day.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:37 (twenty-one years ago)

You don't have to meet me until after 8 when the mister goes to the pictures. Plenty of time to shop and wash and stuff. I might just go home though, so don't worry.

Tonight I have to go win lots of beer vouchers in the pub quiz so I can celebrate/drown sorrows on Sunday. Also, I don't want to listen to Joy Division all night. Sorry.

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:39 (twenty-one years ago)

It is Gav's thing, I dunno. It's the 25th anniversary of Curtis' death. Some bands will be playing JD covers, I think. I'm scared no one will be there.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 15:42 (twenty-one years ago)

what's neil seeing at the flicks? {a joke I can't think of}?

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 17:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, I'd go with him if it was that. Sadly it will be that Star Wars episode 3/6/who-the-fuck-cares thingymajig that is quite popular with and important to some folks who aren't me.

erm, xpost. Though even that looks better than Star Wars

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 17:19 (twenty-one years ago)

One day, everything will be in Galvision.

And I will sit playing with myself.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 17:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I know Lili Palmer's son.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 17:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Galvision, oh Galvision
I am so afraid of dying
Before I dry the tears she's crying.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 17:49 (twenty-one years ago)

There's no way Jimmy Webb looks 58.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 17:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Wait, he does. That was just a rogue photo in Saturday's Herald.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 17:59 (twenty-one years ago)

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 19:28 (twenty-one years ago)

KeefW (kmw), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 20:23 (twenty-one years ago)

None of you Weegie bastards want to meet me for a drink. I hate you all back.

(I can't check ILX at work so people will have to text me tomorrow if anyone does want a drink as I'm going out straight from work)

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 18 May 2005 22:04 (twenty-one years ago)

dahlin (dahlin), Thursday, 19 May 2005 09:39 (twenty-one years ago)

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 19 May 2005 09:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Blatant stirring yesterday with that "it's okay to call them Pakis and Chinkies" letter. Goodness knows how that got past the editor...

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 19 May 2005 09:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Colin, you should go!

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:08 (twenty-one years ago)

i must say i'm tempted!

jed_ (jed), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:12 (twenty-one years ago)

You could go on my shoulders, in a long coat, like in The Broons.

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:29 (twenty-one years ago)

How tall is tall? Does one have to be able to dust the Counting House's ceiling?

scotstvo (scotstvo), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:40 (twenty-one years ago)

Didn't tiny boys on sticks used to be employed for that task?

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 19 May 2005 10:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Jumping over people from Poland is great.

scotstvo (scotstvo), Thursday, 19 May 2005 12:00 (twenty-one years ago)

i stopped by after work, but everyone was sitting, so i couldn't tell if they were tall! damn...
yes, i am responsible for inciting racial and religious spats. and some other stuff i won't mention. but not for tomorrow's page. i was too busy writing about brats being bribed to eat healthy. with ipods! lucky dolts.

dahlin (dahlin), Thursday, 19 May 2005 21:48 (twenty-one years ago)

heathily, surely.

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 19 May 2005 23:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Are ipods strictly edible?

Ally C (Ally C), Thursday, 19 May 2005 23:37 (twenty-one years ago)

it's a strict diet.

cozen (Cozen), Friday, 20 May 2005 06:27 (twenty-one years ago)

What are you doing up at this time?

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 20 May 2005 06:32 (twenty-one years ago)

it isn't that early.

RJG (RJG), Friday, 20 May 2005 08:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Not any more it isn't, silly.

Madchen (Madchen), Friday, 20 May 2005 08:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Does Glasgow (or any subset thereof) want to go and see Roddy Frame + Trash Can Sinatras with me on 10th June? I am hoping it will not sell out before I get paid next week.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 22 May 2005 10:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I would have liked to, but I am still on holiday.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 22 May 2005 10:41 (twenty-one years ago)

10th June is my birthday and I have to go to someone else's sodding birthday party and watch them get lots of presents and cake :-(
