A lot of bunching in the table now things are starting to settle and Arsenal have unblipped themselves. Newcastle are pretty much the only proper outlier now, otherwise you could throw a handkerchief over 8th to 16th. The dregs are going to have to get a result or two from somewhere or there could be bugger all drama this year.

What a match, btw. Glad I avoided reading the score since I watched it on 4 hours' delay.

Swansea put up more Barcelona-like passing numbers today: Williams 112/121, Monk 99/104, Allen 83/84, Britton 66/66.

boxall, Saturday, 29 October 2011 21:37 (fourteen years ago)

Handball was pretty tragic

Number None, Saturday, 29 October 2011 21:55 (fourteen years ago)

Nzonzi was actually crying when the referee gave that, wasn't he?

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 29 October 2011 21:56 (fourteen years ago)

Looked like it

Number None, Saturday, 29 October 2011 21:56 (fourteen years ago)

"I thought for a second a Wolves player may have tugged Dzeko's shirt" as replay shows Stearman applying a headlock

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:02 (fourteen years ago)

Ref actually looked like he gave Kompany the red cos he pissed him off

Number None, Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:04 (fourteen years ago)

stearman is a huge part of wolves prob imo, cutprice mertesacker

interim dn (darraghmac), Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:04 (fourteen years ago)

ffs what a goal to concede wolves

interim dn (darraghmac), Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:05 (fourteen years ago)

REMEMBER THE NAME

Number None, Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:12 (fourteen years ago)

That Petrov goal was rather good.

Collins and Dunne are clearly in charge of all hazings at Villa.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:16 (fourteen years ago)

Wickham reminds me of a young Andy Carroll

Number None, Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:18 (fourteen years ago)

ya petrov

Lil behind watchin this, nice goal from wickham

interim dn (darraghmac), Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:18 (fourteen years ago)

interim dn (darraghmac), Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:30 (fourteen years ago)

had no idea r gardner was still playin tbh

interim dn (darraghmac), Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:34 (fourteen years ago)

the constant gardner

Number None, Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:35 (fourteen years ago)

spoiler: he doesn't make it all the way through that one either

interim dn (darraghmac), Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:37 (fourteen years ago)

I remember once a Bradford City fan wrote an article about the various things he loved about the club, contained a line that went something like "Wayne Jacobs, I love you because you will still be our second-choice left-back when you're 52 because you're too slow to ever get injured." I think that's what's doing on with Riccy G.

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:38 (fourteen years ago)

Carroll came so close to fucking that up

Number None, Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:38 (fourteen years ago)

wigan are two down here, and it's ridic

interim dn (darraghmac), Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:50 (fourteen years ago)

yeah that game didn't deserve the last slot.

Number None, Saturday, 29 October 2011 22:52 (fourteen years ago)

God, Match of the Day is so fucking long these days. Its length has increased at the same rate as the decreasing competitiveness of the Premiership has rendered most of the games of no interest to anyone but the supporters of those teams.

Viva Brother Beyond (ithappens), Saturday, 29 October 2011 23:33 (fourteen years ago)

i dunno, i'd welcome the length of the programme if they used it to focus on the most interesting games instead of the system of pre-selection

interim dn (darraghmac), Sunday, 30 October 2011 00:10 (fourteen years ago)

for all that time tonight, not a shred of analysis.

interim dn (darraghmac), Sunday, 30 October 2011 00:11 (fourteen years ago)

Uh anyone else lipreading Terry's goal celebration?

a guy called Gerard (onimo), Sunday, 30 October 2011 00:16 (fourteen years ago)

Looks like something that rhymes with "fucking dog"

a guy called Gerard (onimo), Sunday, 30 October 2011 00:20 (fourteen years ago)

is Terry's goal celebration that one where he threw himself on the floor in the direction of Mecca?

Baobab Galliwasplie (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 30 October 2011 01:12 (fourteen years ago)

and Rapey van P run past him and me and Joel shouted "FINISH HIM"??

Baobab Galliwasplie (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 30 October 2011 01:16 (fourteen years ago)

lip-read Jamie Redknapp earlier saying that fat people should be sterilised

Number None, Sunday, 30 October 2011 01:19 (fourteen years ago)

i watched that bit, shouted "HE's HIS DAD'S SON" iirc

I know I'm biased as a Norwich fan, but there are grounds for the ref to give that penalty. Dudes arms were outstretched, in an "unnatural position". Maybe if he played to the whistle instead of protesting for a foul when there's still danger in the box, it wouldn't have happened.

I, personally, don't think it was a penalty but within the rules the ref is justified to give one.

CraigG, Sunday, 30 October 2011 12:40 (fourteen years ago)

i agree with that tbf, tho it's harsh

interim dn (darraghmac), Sunday, 30 October 2011 13:23 (fourteen years ago)

Norwich fan? How did I miss this?! You've been among ILF's top transfer targets for a while now.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 30 October 2011 13:29 (fourteen years ago)

i don't think he would have got to that back pass even if he hadn't fallen over tbh. awful from malouda.

pandemic, Sunday, 30 October 2011 14:17 (fourteen years ago)

pushing up and not pressing the ball is fucking bush league. every team seems to play with a high line now and most of them haven't got a clue why.

Agyness Dei (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 30 October 2011 14:28 (fourteen years ago)

took a nasty skip off a shit surface tbf to both players

interim dn (darraghmac), Sunday, 30 October 2011 15:00 (fourteen years ago)

why are you trying to ruin such a perfect moment with this sudden rationality

sonderangerbot, Sunday, 30 October 2011 15:09 (fourteen years ago)

contrariness

walker/lennon doesn't convince

interim dn (darraghmac), Sunday, 30 October 2011 16:02 (fourteen years ago)
