Good thing I read on to page three, otherwise I might have thought she got it from William knocking her about:

Despite being one of the world’s most photographed women, it was only yesterday that the three-inch long operation scar on Kate’s left temple was noticed.

The scar mirrors one William has on his left temple, sustained when he was hit with a golf club when he was 13, although his is jagged while hers is a smooth curve.

Royal aides declined to reveal much about the scar, although they denied that it was the result of a birthmark being removed.

“It’s a scar from a childhood injury,” a St James’s Palace spokesman said. “It was an operation but we’re not prepared to say any more than that.”

OMG is he Harry Potter?

Told you...

The news that the ancient landmark will reopen its doors to the public marks a swift victory for the Daily Express’s “Boot Them Out!” crusade...

...have they actually been 'booted out' Mr Express Man?

London Mayor Boris Johnson joined the calls for the protesters to leave, saying: “In the name of God and Mammon, go.”

o_O invocation of Mammon there, during a protest about greed and wealth.

FRENCH SEND UNEMPLOYED TO BRITAIN (ON CUT-PRICE TRAINS) TO STEAL OUR JOBS actually translates as someone somewhere in France thinks that maybe some of the unemployed French could get jobs in Ashford and use the Eurostar as a bus. No-one has been sent, Eurostar say they might be interested in reducing fares, Nigel Farage is an idiot (who gets his train fares paid for him by the EU).

only people i ever see buying the express and the mail are women over 40/50

Armand Schaubroeck Ratfucker, Friday, 28 October 2011 11:39 (fourteen years ago)

The Mail get a large number of people allegedly reading the paper for sport and the website for celeb gossip.

is the mail sports coverage any good?

Armand Schaubroeck Ratfucker, Friday, 28 October 2011 11:52 (fourteen years ago)

A lot of people buy the Mail for its racing coverage, iirc.

Mohombi Khush Hua (ShariVari), Friday, 28 October 2011 11:56 (fourteen years ago)

Think they misheard that.

James Mitchell, Friday, 28 October 2011 11:58 (fourteen years ago)

I read the Mail website to laugh at Liz Jones. The Express can go fuck itself. My mum and dad occasionally buy it, but my mum claims it's because my dad likes the puzzles (though I bought him a couple of puzzle books with similar puzzles in it so they couldn't use that as an excuse and they *still* buy it at weekends)

nakhchivan, Friday, 28 October 2011 12:09 (fourteen years ago)

My grandad bought it for years, but mainly just for the crossword and the football. Think exposure to the rest of it must have had some sort of cummulative effect on him though, cos towards the end of his life when his alzheimers had reduced him to a mere shell of the lovely man he once was, he would just sit there and bemoan *the foreigners* who had ruined his beloved Spurs.

Armand Schaubroeck Ratfucker, Friday, 28 October 2011 12:30 (fourteen years ago)

lol my dad occasionally nicks the express from work because he likes the puzzles. he more often than not just brings me also stolen copies of the grauniad and is a giant leftie, so i believe him.

I know I shouldn't be surprised anymore, but what the fuck at that headline

Y Kant Lou Reed (Le Bateau Ivre), Saturday, 29 October 2011 10:56 (fourteen years ago)

To be 'fair', the headline is representing the stated wish of Joanna Yates' parents. The Express is, I'm sure, just dispassionately reporting this. *cough*

DavidM, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:17 (fourteen years ago)

Right. I see there was no room for quotation marks anymore then...

FREE POSITIVE WEATHER SOLUTIONS BULLSHIT FOR EVERY READER

James Mitchell, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 08:20 (fourteen years ago)

I don't know which I prefer, the Daily Mail when it's telling outright lies or stating obvious things about the weather (i.e. it's going to get colder in Winter).

Mum-Ra Gaddafi the Ever-Living (dog latin), Wednesday, 2 November 2011 09:44 (fourteen years ago)

If I was Positive Weather Solutions I'd be concerned at the increased use of "James Madden of Exacta Weather" who seems to be cropping up in the Mail and the Express recently. Esp. as he does it for free.

James has personally studied many aspects of weather since a young age. His long range weather forecasting techniques have attracted significant attention amongst the news and media, after correctly forecasting seasonal trends within the UK, and well in advance of any other forecaster worldwide.

Ned Trifle X, Wednesday, 2 November 2011 10:18 (fourteen years ago)
