i think barry bannan is possibly what scottish ppl describe as a 'weegie ned' but u will have to check that with the SPL reglas

(xp) I don't think there would be an awful lot to say about Rooney, tbh. It's not as if he was especially responsible for Sunday's result. Up to the sending off United were losing 1-0 and struggling to impose themselves in midfield. If Evans hadn't been such a dick it would probably have finished 2-0 or 1-1. After the red card it was just a question of how much United would lose by. The three goals in quick succession right at the end were a result of total dereliction of duty by the defence. There are far bigger questions to ask about Ferdinand and Evra than Rooney. Personally, I hope Berbatov gets a game at the weekend, though.

At least Rio has the excuse of being broken. Evra just doesn't seem to give a toss any more

Man City confirm Carlos Tevez will only be fined two weeks' wages, rather than four weeks'

This is the lead story on the BBC's NEWS ticker at present.

I'd describe him as a "tanner ba' player" - or at least the modern equivalent of one

and a bit ay a ned as well I suppose - there was footage of him on tv the other week going through the airport in a cheap suit and trainers which is standard court appearance attire in the ned fraternity. His accent isn't too rough for an Airdrie boy - spending almost half his life in England has softened him up I think.

I'm thinking nuChelsea v Arsenal could be a cracking game, what with Drogba being out and Arsenal being the epl's form team and all

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:16 (fourteen years ago)

yeah, can see another scatter of reds the way chelsea are struggling positionally at the back

interim dn (darraghmac), Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:20 (fourteen years ago)

lovely ball by lampard there

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:47 (fourteen years ago)

there's darragh's 'chelsea struggling positionally at the back'. sloppy play from that arsenal throw by chelsea. this is terrible defending early on.

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:49 (fourteen years ago)

terrible terrible waste by sturridge!!!!

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:50 (fourteen years ago)

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:57 (fourteen years ago)

God I thought Utd couldn't defend! These 2 are even worse!

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:58 (fourteen years ago)

is gervinho any good? seems wrong to play him above arshavin when the latter is showing signs of life

nakhchivan, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:58 (fourteen years ago)

that was a great counter set up by lamps, how the hell did gervinho not score

sonderangerbot, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:59 (fourteen years ago)

My fantasy team thanks you Frank!!

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:59 (fourteen years ago)

sloppy brilliance for the neutral

interim dn (darraghmac), Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:01 (fourteen years ago)

think arshavin on his game is better than gervinho, but gervinho does get in great positions tbf

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:02 (fourteen years ago)

That was fantastic from Mata, I hate liking Chelsea players this much.

Chelsea are so much better than Arsenal right now, also lol Gervinho.

Matt DC, Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:02 (fourteen years ago)

cannot believe how much space there is down the flanks behind the full backs on both sides.

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:03 (fourteen years ago)

Number None, Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:14 (fourteen years ago)

this arsenal has won 6 of 7?

Is that counting training matches or what

interim dn (darraghmac), Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:15 (fourteen years ago)

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:15 (fourteen years ago)

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:16 (fourteen years ago)

Some of these misses are unbelievable. Think Arsenal's will regret theirs more though.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:16 (fourteen years ago)

wtf both games early

interim dn (darraghmac), Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:16 (fourteen years ago)

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:22 (fourteen years ago)

Mister Potato shares Manchester United’s commitment to (Nasty, Brutish & Short), Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:25 (fourteen years ago)

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:26 (fourteen years ago)

nakhchivan, Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:26 (fourteen years ago)

nakhchivan, Saturday, 29 October 2011 12:27 (fourteen years ago)
