Yeah but it's against John Terry, so who cares?

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Thursday, 27 October 2011 08:42 (fourteen years ago)

that's not good enough. anyone has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty and anton ferdinand hasn't even issued a statement on this yet, this is being blown out of proportion to the available facts.

He should just be grateful there aren't any Libyans with metal poles about.

should have taken a superinjunction against it

that 'when did you start supporting chelsea?' thread reminds me of a posh bloke i met at a party a few years ago said he was a fan because he was "chelsea born and bred" :D

jabba hands, Thursday, 27 October 2011 12:26 (fourteen years ago)

Anton F probably hasn't issued a statement because he didn't hear anything said on the pitch, therefore he can neither confirm nor deny the truth of any allegations about Terry. There's no point in him issuing a statement, especially as both the FA and the police are investigating.

I suspect QPR might have been happy to help put the affair to bed were it not for Chelsea's patronising match preview on their website - http://www.chelseafc.com/page/TalkingPoints/0,,10268~57694,00.html - which caused a certain amount of offence at Loftus Road, according to the SubStandard.

Viva Brother Beyond (ithappens), Thursday, 27 October 2011 12:40 (fourteen years ago)

it really is ridiculous- does anyone actually believe that england captain john terry would do this?

FIND OUT SUNDAY NIGHT ON ILF!

RIP Big Muam mißya til I'm Libya (darraghmac), Thursday, 27 October 2011 13:13 (fourteen years ago)

KEY STAT
Last weekend's strike by Heidar Helguson is the only home goal scored by one of QPR's own players over 376 minutes this season.

fuck chelsea, their racist cunt captain, their mobile phone abusing left-back, their sulky not-as-he-used-to-be prick cf, their fat penalty taker, their next messiah manager and many many of their fans.

pete seems like a nice guy though tbh.

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 27 October 2011 13:22 (fourteen years ago)

of that list, i actually think most charitably towards the fat one these days.

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 27 October 2011 13:23 (fourteen years ago)

Free John Terry. Burn Pete.

Probably did what Ledley did and is taking the FA's money to keep quiet about it.

James Mitchell, Thursday, 27 October 2011 13:43 (fourteen years ago)

Still, the new ad campaign for Carlsberg, Official Beer of The England Football Team, promises to be a laugh.

At least they can still use the ads with Wayne Rooney in.

James Mitchell, Thursday, 27 October 2011 13:47 (fourteen years ago)

So we can expect Ferdinand Minor to get an unexpected England cap in some meaningless friendly or other?

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Thursday, 27 October 2011 13:47 (fourteen years ago)

I wouldn't go that far.

Matt DC, Thursday, 27 October 2011 13:56 (fourteen years ago)

I suppose he's too rubbish, but tbh I've never taken any notice of him before so have no idea quite how rubbish he is

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Thursday, 27 October 2011 14:00 (fourteen years ago)

Love the fact that DM story got debunked so quickly (nobody seemed to have posted that funnily enough) - Derry wasn't even on the pitch at the time...

Have a feeling now Terry will be cleared quite quickly and everybody will apologise.

Anyway, this is much more important.

ya tbh i'd be interested for yr take on that pete, good thing or bad?

I suspect the DM story was fabricated by terry's people to discredit the case against, this shit goes deep imo

"We will meet with Mr Abramovich and the rest of the board and decide what, if anything, we will do to take things forward. We are all Chelsea fans and I can only hope that, on Saturday, we all get together, support this club and beat the crap out of Arsenal."

r|t|c, Thursday, 27 October 2011 16:10 (fourteen years ago)

I think a good thing. the club haven't handled it particularly well and ownership of the freehold is a big thing to give up just like that with no real concrete assurance about where we will end up. hopefully the club will renegotiate. I'm reluctant to move at all, though.

wayne rooney

nakhchivan, Thursday, 27 October 2011 18:11 (fourteen years ago)

was really looking forward to discussing rooney this week before some racist cunt stole the oxygen of publicity from the fat cunt

nakhchivan, Thursday, 27 October 2011 18:17 (fourteen years ago)

Is Barry Bannan now a skinny etc. or does that epithet not apply equally well to all body types?

boxall, Thursday, 27 October 2011 18:29 (fourteen years ago)

i think barry bannan is possibly what scottish ppl describe as a 'weegie ned' but u will have to check that with the SPL reglas

nakhchivan, Thursday, 27 October 2011 18:33 (fourteen years ago)

(xp) I don't think there would be an awful lot to say about Rooney, tbh. It's not as if he was especially responsible for Sunday's result. Up to the sending off United were losing 1-0 and struggling to impose themselves in midfield. If Evans hadn't been such a dick it would probably have finished 2-0 or 1-1. After the red card it was just a question of how much United would lose by. The three goals in quick succession right at the end were a result of total dereliction of duty by the defence. There are far bigger questions to ask about Ferdinand and Evra than Rooney. Personally, I hope Berbatov gets a game at the weekend, though.

Man City confirm Carlos Tevez will only be fined two weeks' wages, rather than four weeks'

This is the lead story on the BBC's NEWS ticker at present.

I'd describe him as a "tanner ba' player" - or at least the modern equivalent of one

and a bit ay a ned as well I suppose - there was footage of him on tv the other week going through the airport in a cheap suit and trainers which is standard court appearance attire in the ned fraternity. His accent isn't too rough for an Airdrie boy - spending almost half his life in England has softened him up I think.

I'm thinking nuChelsea v Arsenal could be a cracking game, what with Drogba being out and Arsenal being the epl's form team and all

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:16 (fourteen years ago)

yeah, can see another scatter of reds the way chelsea are struggling positionally at the back

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:47 (fourteen years ago)

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:50 (fourteen years ago)

this is an entertaining game in a clueless kind of way

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:57 (fourteen years ago)

God I thought Utd couldn't defend! These 2 are even worse!

pandemic, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:58 (fourteen years ago)

is gervinho any good? seems wrong to play him above arshavin when the latter is showing signs of life

nakhchivan, Saturday, 29 October 2011 11:58 (fourteen years ago)

that was a great counter set up by lamps, how the hell did gervinho not score
