great name choice. there's a punk house slash performance art/music venue in chicago called mortville that i always get dragged to, so usually the name has a semi-bad connotation for me, but it's really perfect for the circumstances (also: hi guys)

So I won a pile of booze at the gay film fundraiser silent auction last week (two bottles of scotch and one bottle each of silver tequila and spiced rum, to be precise). Unfortunately I feel sick-ish at the moment, but a good strong scotch totally relieves sinus congestion right?

i find a shot always goes a long way. a shot and then like keep drinking your water and tea or vitamins or whatever.

Or or or wait til roommate gets back and then make hot buttered rum??

lol i really would love to tell the founder of cosi that making a bagel a square instead of a circle and calling it a "squagel" doesn't make it unique or anything

i feel stupid saying "squagel" but i've worked at enough food chains with fucking stupid names for their products to know that the only person stupider than the person that doesn't say "squagel" is the person that goes out of their way to be to cool to say "squagel"

I only heard about squagles/Cosi through a David Cross bit. Had no idea they were real until I moved here. I like their caprese sandwich, which is especially good when I'm in the Loop, which is kind of a food desert after 7pm.

i keep a google doc of all my logins for everything

My logins and passwords are currently horribly undermanaged. I was keeping two very spearated spreadsheets, one on Google Docs with user names and the other hand written with passwords, but that was unwieldy.

I started using KeePass, but then I FORGOT THE MASTER PASSWORD :( and it has absolutely no recovery process, which is as it should be, but still a problem.

Now I use Last Pass, which is awesome, but I have been way too busy to input all the passwords.

The thought of snuggling up on the overstuffed chair with my laptop and a mocha at the adorable coffee shop by my house and spending a couple hours spiffing up my logins is like the dreamiest thing I can imagine right now. Especially if it were snowing outside.

Apparently it is queer film festival season in Montreal? Bunch of interesting looking stuff, including Weekend and a musical by Eytan Fox and We Were Here (doc about early AIDS crisis in SF). Any thoughts by those who have seen the above? Or better queer cinema from recent years?

Image+Nation is the festival in question, btw.
