to be precise, pete, the article is drawing conclusions based on personal prejudice about people drawing conclusions based on john terry being a thorough cunt

generation lmbo (darraghmac), Tuesday, 25 October 2011 18:28 (fourteen years ago)

was away for the weekend, only just now watching a downloaded motd2 and:

1. how the fuck did the clusterfuck on this thread be about ebjt being a cunt instead of the 6-1?
2. lolololol 6-1.
3. silva-mario-aguero is more exciting to me than messi-villa-pedro, imo. not better, but more exciting.
4. HOW IS THERE NOT A GIF OF AGUERO LIGHTLY TAPPING SUPERMARIO JOKINGLY AND THEN MARIO SLAPPING AGUERO BACK, AGUERO LOOKING PISSED?
5. ebjt a racist? who woulda thunk it? 5 years ago?

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Tuesday, 25 October 2011 18:36 (fourteen years ago)

he's not racist until he admits it- everything up til then is your prejudice showing

generation lmbo (darraghmac), Tuesday, 25 October 2011 18:43 (fourteen years ago)

and the fact that he called a guy a black cunt at the weekend and has a history of it iirc

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Tuesday, 25 October 2011 18:45 (fourteen years ago)

he's not racist until he admits it- everything up til then is your prejudice showing his statement writer can't hack it anymore and slips up

the shinning - ref to rooney's o/h kick imo

generation lmbo (darraghmac), Tuesday, 25 October 2011 19:37 (fourteen years ago)

agreed, it's sub-mourinho in both panache and ambition tho

Having just seen's Jose's electric shaver ad I'd advise holding back on this adjective for a bit.

William Bloody Swygart, Tuesday, 25 October 2011 21:18 (fourteen years ago)

Carlos Tevez may sue Man City boss Roberto Mancini for defamation of character, BBC understands

William Bloody Swygart, Tuesday, 25 October 2011 21:34 (fourteen years ago)

that'd be an excellent use of everyone's time

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 25 October 2011 21:36 (fourteen years ago)

man, y'alls various dramas are owning this week

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 25 October 2011 21:45 (fourteen years ago)

Needs a poll on ILF: When you guys started to support chelsea.

James Mitchell, Wednesday, 26 October 2011 10:27 (fourteen years ago)

tbf that's before tax

tbf it's better value than rooney, when the ugly little bugger bothers to play

generation lmbo (darraghmac), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 10:29 (fourteen years ago)

Too early yet for Man City glory hunters to start showing up? Haven't noticed any in London yet. I don't know any Man City supporters at all in fact.

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 10:35 (fourteen years ago)

... I've never met one!

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 10:36 (fourteen years ago)

danielgiraffe iirc

generation lmbo (darraghmac), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 10:42 (fourteen years ago)

i know 2 longtime supporters (both accies fans)

Armand Schaubroeck Ratfucker, Wednesday, 26 October 2011 10:42 (fourteen years ago)

I think they genuinely are a local phenomenon. Might also be big in the middle east, I dunno.

xps was horrified to find myself hoping for a Chelsea equaliser at the end on Sunday

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 26 October 2011 10:45 (fourteen years ago)

Nobody I've ever known from Manchester/Greater Mcr has ever supported City either

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 10:46 (fourteen years ago)

I think I know five - three of whom are legit, while the other two at least got in early enough to claim they've been supporting Man City since before they were successful rich.

Does any really start supporting a completely new side after the age of about fifteen?

Upt0eleven, Wednesday, 26 October 2011 10:48 (fourteen years ago)

lol now i think about it i don't think i've ever met a city fan either.

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 10:51 (fourteen years ago)

I know a couple of people who've changed teams as adults, and at least make a show of taking defeats really badly. It's the saddest sight in the world.

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 26 October 2011 10:55 (fourteen years ago)

the new Man City fans are coming of age in schools around Ireland as we speak

Number None, Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:03 (fourteen years ago)

not just ireland tbf.

gonna be weird in 15 years time when there are no utd fans under 30 in southern england.

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:05 (fourteen years ago)

tru

generation lmbo (darraghmac), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:05 (fourteen years ago)

It's not that long ago that Man City were in the third tier of English football and jumping on the bandwagon feels a bit tawdry for anyone above school age, so it's hardly surprising you haven't met many.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:06 (fourteen years ago)

like how there must be a new generation of kids where like 1 in 15 don't become a leeds fan just because and instead have become a stoke fan or something.

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:06 (fourteen years ago)

... there's football fans and football fans and then there's Arsenal fans

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:07 (fourteen years ago)

I know a couple of non-Manc City fans. I blame Oasis tbh.

a guy called Gerard (onimo), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:07 (fourteen years ago)

I wonder if there are tons of thirty-year-old Newcastle fans in places like Oman and Indonesia?

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:07 (fourteen years ago)

I mean imagine going up to a Man City fan in 1998 or 99 and trying to explain all this to them, they'd think you were insane.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:08 (fourteen years ago)

well they were busy having their minds blown by be here now tbf. :D

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:09 (fourteen years ago)

I imagine recently arrived immigrants will already be thinking of supporting Citeh, if not supporting them already, I haven't been down to Stokey to watch a match in a while so I haven't noticed any yet

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:10 (fourteen years ago)

That Melvyn Bragg piece. I never really understood being a fan until now.

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:12 (fourteen years ago)

Carlisle Utd fans obviously don't count

R. Stornoway (Tom D.), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 11:13 (fourteen years ago)

i know quite a few city fans, the're about as legit as all the man u and liverpool fans i know too

fifa 01 got me into football, before i liked it but after i lvoed it, i remember i had a lazio team where all the players on my 11 were striekrs except keeper who was kahn, bergkamp, baggio, ronaldo(was called #9), crespo, henry, nvm i remember i had veron starting as well, i would score 10+ goals on hardest, iw asnt that good but i knew all teh glitches and tricks to ebating the computer, my brother always beat me though, and i remember they had world cup feature on fifa back then, now they have seperate game, assholes

r|t|c, Wednesday, 26 October 2011 13:34 (fourteen years ago)

That Chelsea thread was posted on one of the QPR messageboards yesterday, to much hilarity.

Now, the Terry affair. Terry's own version of what happened on the pitch appears to be:
JT: Anton, you're a fucking blind cunt
AF: Did you just call me a fucking black cunt?
JT: Oi, Anton, I didn't call you a fucking black cunt.

Even in the heat of the moment, that doesn't sound a wholly credible exchange, does it?

Viva Brother Beyond (ithappens), Wednesday, 26 October 2011 13:38 (fourteen years ago)

i wouldn't expect any better from you *sniff*

JT: Oi, Anton, I didn't call you a fucking black cunt.

Why would you call an opposing player a blind cunt? The ref, yes, but not a player. Did Anton walk into a goalpost or something?
