Thank goodness ILX wasn't down during finale weekend.

Martyr McFly (WmC), Wednesday, 19 October 2011 23:57 (fourteen years ago)

i watched the last three episodes this weekend. just caught up with this thread. a fun way to read this thread, given how many lol predictions there were.

zombie gus was great, i literally punched the air when the camera panned round. felt like an old school breaking bad moment.

caek, Thursday, 20 October 2011 00:00 (fourteen years ago)

good final ep

a big lolout to the ricin plant naysayers

as for the complaining to complain complaints - I actually prefer this to ott gushing about a funny line or good moment being the best thing ever maybe because I look at the internet quite a lot

conrad, Thursday, 20 October 2011 00:44 (fourteen years ago)

meanwhile will be interested to see next season how they resolve things with the receptionist who wants $25K

conrad, Thursday, 20 October 2011 00:45 (fourteen years ago)

I was sorta pissed that he didn't kick her ass or something, idk, you can poison a kid but you're gonna let a receptionist blackmail you?

iatee, Thursday, 20 October 2011 01:00 (fourteen years ago)

would actually enjoy a final act where walt goes macbeth and indiscriminately kills everyone who fucks w/ him

the boy with the gorn at his side (Edward III), Thursday, 20 October 2011 01:01 (fourteen years ago)

did think for a mo the neighbour was gonna get popped for the sake of walt's look-see

he's a bad man!

conrad, Thursday, 20 October 2011 01:16 (fourteen years ago)

He already gave the secretary the money

Number None, Thursday, 20 October 2011 02:03 (fourteen years ago)

yeh we'll see

conrad, Thursday, 20 October 2011 02:08 (fourteen years ago)

I imagine that recent events will just make Saul's law practice more successful and she'll be happy to come back to work.

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 20 October 2011 02:09 (fourteen years ago)

maybe in order to tie things up she'll end up telling hank about walt and hank will be like yeah I thought something was screwy *wink*

She had information he needed quickly. Also, he beats up/hurts/kills Saul's receptionist, do you think Saul is going to continue to do business with him?

trishyb, Thursday, 20 October 2011 09:15 (fourteen years ago)

yeah i mean if you've got a couple of hundred grand in your cellar then, even if the house it being watched, that seems like the smarter big picture thing to do.

walt is nuts though of course.

caek, Thursday, 20 October 2011 09:30 (fourteen years ago)

I find it interesting that there is some part of him that's still easily cowed by someone just shouting at him, though. Like, I wonder if he'd just pinned receptionist lady against the wall and shouted back would she have given up the info? Maybe not. But of course that would make him incredibly unsympathetic and we wouldn't have had the cool and tense scene that followed. So I think we won, really.

trishyb, Thursday, 20 October 2011 09:44 (fourteen years ago)

that would make him incredibly unsympathetic

I know, i know, but you know what I mean.

conrad, Thursday, 20 October 2011 13:31 (fourteen years ago)

i read the whole secretary dynamic as walt encountering the real world of ordinary people w/moral standards for the first time in a while

ice cr?m, Thursday, 20 October 2011 13:47 (fourteen years ago)

me too

conrad, Thursday, 20 October 2011 14:11 (fourteen years ago)

or like when artz went off at jack or whoever about thinking everything revolved around them when there were other people all around getting on with stuff before he blew up just a nod to perspective in a jokey way

conrad, Thursday, 20 October 2011 14:14 (fourteen years ago)

the real world of ordinary people w/moral standards

Shaking Walt down for $25K is part this world with moral standards?

Martyr McFly (WmC), Thursday, 20 October 2011 14:17 (fourteen years ago)

will be interesting to see how that plotline pans out
