how long has it been since he got shot
― ice cr?m, Friday, 7 October 2011 20:02 (fourteen years ago)
2-3 days I think
― Antonio Carlos Broheem (WmC), Friday, 7 October 2011 20:06 (fourteen years ago)
The teaser is like, "Ok, so what is the first sentence Walt speaks?" Nothing really happens in that clip. As I had been warned.
― DSMOS has arrived (kenan), Friday, 7 October 2011 20:12 (fourteen years ago)
Revisiting the last three or four episodes, I think mt favorite senteces that Walter speaks are when he's on the floor, and Jesse has a gun to him, and he explains what Gus is doing, and says, "Think about it! It's BRILLIANT!"
Props where they're due.

how about the little barrel circle mark in walt's forehead? i really dug that.
― loads of personality, loved to chase chickens (forksclovetofu), Saturday, 8 October 2011 04:07 (fourteen years ago)
i saw that barrel mark and just thought "wow, that's commitment"
― Clay, Saturday, 8 October 2011 04:09 (fourteen years ago)
I love the way that at beginning of the back and forth over Jesse, I thought Walt and Gus were both trying to use him as a pawn. It obvious now that he can be used as a knight, and Gus knew it long before Walt did. Think about it. It's brilliant!
I seriously doubt we're going to see any dead Gus on Sunday.
― DSMOS has arrived (kenan), Saturday, 8 October 2011 04:25 (fourteen years ago)
Not after (from Jenny's link): "On March 21, 1990 members of the leftist guerrilla group, the Manuel Rodríguez Patriotic Front, broke into Leigh's office and opened fire at him. Five bullets hit his body. Other than the loss of an eye, he was able to make a complete recovery." No Gus is doomed to live a long unhappy life, just like Hector. He will wind up at the end being able to do nothing but twist his face in a drooling rictus of hate. Walt will win the battles, but he won't kill Gus. That said, it is imperative to the moral core of the series that Walt, through actions he set in motion but can't see coming, kills himself.
― DSMOS has arrived (kenan), Saturday, 8 October 2011 04:38 (fourteen years ago)
Or at least suffers some sort of ironic humiliation, Henry Hill-style. But I think that's far too good for Walt. No, he has to die, and is has to be done tasty. (To appropriate Cronenberg.)
― DSMOS has arrived (kenan), Saturday, 8 October 2011 04:49 (fourteen years ago)
And by the way, the constantly looming henchman who has replaced Victor, the dude who tazed Walt, is a bad bit of casting, IMO. He can't stop looking like one of Madonna's backup dancers, no matter what he does.

I have the same problem IRL

I'm debating whether to type "lol" in lowercase or uppercase, because I fear uppercase might be a bit rude.

If Mike was around now Walt and his family would be fucked pure and simple.
― Matt DC, Saturday, 8 October 2011 10:34 (fourteen years ago)
yeah he'd kill hank and marie and skylar and walt jr. and holly and all those dea guys and saul and ted and badger and gus and jesse
― conrad, Saturday, 8 October 2011 10:41 (fourteen years ago)
And General Pinochet.

can't wait for season 5's buddy comedy of manners starring badger and huell

Well, I mean Fring is a German last name...
it's also french fries + onion rings. because he's in fast food you see.
― anorange (abanana), Saturday, 8 October 2011 11:48 (fourteen years ago)
The obvious logical endpoint of all this is that Jesse kills Walt, and ends up back on the corner slinging street-grade crud. And that Gus is gunned down by a little kid bro of someone he offed long ago.
Skyler can enter witness protection or something, who cares about her. Am I right that she's only met Jesse that one time, in the first season?
― Josh in Chicago, Saturday, 8 October 2011 13:29 (fourteen years ago)
Anticipating.

haha
― DSMOS has arrived (kenan), Monday, 10 October 2011 01:19 (fourteen years ago)
I think he'll cover it like a motherfucker.
But I will be very surprised if he kills Walt, or if Walt kills him.

Dying at Hector using his first message to tell Hank to suck his dick
― ( ) (mh), Monday, 10 October 2011 02:32 (fourteen years ago)
I figured they were going to use Hector as a dude to drop a dime on Gus, but he's not a snitch. It'll make Gus go visit him, though...
― ( ) (mh), Monday, 10 October 2011 02:33 (fourteen years ago)
mid-ep prediction. gus wears a vest, hector has a bomb wired to his dinger, and blows himself up but fails to kill gus. gus survives to next season, but is stuck in a chair and has to communicate stephen hawking-style
― ( ) (mh), Monday, 10 October 2011 02:45 (fourteen years ago)
old lady "hi, hello" re: walt is the fucking funniest thing
― johnny crunch, Monday, 10 October 2011 02:46 (fourteen years ago)

walking dead crossover gus fring is a zombie

I just witnessed the birth of one million .gifs
Nice tie-in with the zombie show
― Antonio Carlos Broheem (WmC), Monday, 10 October 2011 02:50 (fourteen years ago)
btw, the actor who has played Hector (and many other roles I've seen over the years) is amazing. The fury in his eyes just then... so good.
― ( ) (mh), Monday, 10 October 2011 02:51 (fourteen years ago)
most of this ep ive pictured as his emmy clips 4 next yr tbh
― johnny crunch, Monday, 10 October 2011 02:52 (fourteen years ago)
I thought gus walking out was really lame, smelled like writers brainstorming and not checking their impulses..."what if he WALKS OUT, STRAIGHTENS HIS TIE, and then falls down?" "oh yeah Gus would totally do that!" yes, he would. if he hadn't just survived an explosion.

― pathos of the unwarranted encore (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Monday, 10 October 2011 02:53 (fourteen years ago)
yeah, this is mostly character grandstanding so far. except for hank, he's just our hero
― ( ) (mh), Monday, 10 October 2011 02:54 (fourteen years ago)
can picture the gif of fonzi surf jumping over zombie gus and probably agree w it
― johnny crunch, Monday, 10 October 2011 02:54 (fourteen years ago)
walt is now the don btw
― johnny crunch, Monday, 10 October 2011 02:55 (fourteen years ago)
the best part is that hector didn't have to snitch -- gus getting blown up by him is a big giveaway that something is shady
― ( ) (mh), Monday, 10 October 2011 02:55 (fourteen years ago)
when did walt switch to a yaris?
― ( ) (mh), Monday, 10 October 2011 03:04 (fourteen years ago)
oh jesus christ you guys were right about the gun pointing at the plant
walt is pure evil!
― ( ) (mh), Monday, 10 October 2011 03:05 (fourteen years ago)
same time he put on this green shirt
― johnny crunch, Monday, 10 October 2011 03:06 (fourteen years ago)
hasn't he had a pontiac aztek or something ridiculous for seasons? it was obvious they had no car sponsor since that's a completely defunct auto
― ( ) (mh), Monday, 10 October 2011 03:08 (fourteen years ago)
The Aztek got wrecked when he had to create a diversion to keep from going to the laundry with Hank.
Damn, zombie Gus!
― Antonio Carlos Broheem (WmC), Monday, 10 October 2011 03:09 (fourteen years ago)
