a) Gus will die.
b) next season's "big bad" will be when Walt discovers the reasons why not even the cartel was willing to shoot him. IE, his backers.

Eh, but in contemporary (show) context, Gus' past has little to no bearing, let alone if he was part of the Pinochet regime. Though even in the context of the era flashed back to, why would the head of a Mexican drug cartel have issues with taking out a fringe member of the Pinochet regime?
