Speaking of sweet potatoes, I tried the sp gnocchi (frozen section) a few months ago and it was pretty bad. But the butternut squash pasta (ravioli?) in the refrigerator section is very good. I had it with olive oil and garlic, no red sauce.

the sweet potato gnocchi tasted pretty good as a sample but i can def. see how it would get old fast.

not putting salsa into a small salsa bowl for eating is disgusting savagery!

ya xp ive used the sweet potato chips crushed over some soft tacos i made w/ feta & a vinegrette as ingredients so the sweetness & texture went well w/ the bitter i think

have admit that I've been spooning salsa into a bowl lately but that's cause of the narrow neck

problem: portion control. spoon too little and you're respooning every 5th chip. spoon too much and you feel obligated to overload the chip or to waste salsa. nobody's suggesting that the leftover salsa be poured back into the jar, are we gentle men and women?

you could spoon salsa individually onto each chip, you dainty little man

just use mindwaves to get the salsa onto the chip and the chip into your mouth and you will find that it's easy to keep your hands/bowls clean

I am interested in those espresso pillows. Do they have any of that bitty grainy texture that normal coffee beans have? I can't stand that.

they are less gritty. but i like the grit of the regular beans!

some salsas are so good i can eat them with a spoon. but mostly they are the salsas i make on my own

The cilantro/jalapeno hummus is like crack

roasted tomato salsa is way too sweet. i doctored it w/ a splash of hot sauce and vinegar but ew.

When I lived at home I always used a bowl for salsa. I continued doing that when I moved to my own place, but eventually when I started to pick up dirtbaggy loner habits that went out the window.

is there a special bowl for salsa or is it just a regular bowl repurposed [via bricolage and other french post modernist theories] for salsa

idk the thing about TJ's is that it's just basic things (like peanut butter or olive oil) done right - no additives, weird chemicals, minimal preservatives, at a price comparable to conglomerate labels. and they're not afraid to try new shit.

both times i've been to TJ's it's been after work & i've been kinda tired and just wanted to get my shit and get out so i haven't spent tons of time just strolling the isles looking at stuff

more xps - I like TJ for having cheap rice milk, goat cheese, and frozen chicken breasts, and a bunch of yummy convenience foods. I don't know about the "healthiness," since a lot of the convenience stuff is pretty loaded with sodium, which is, sadly a concern for me now (not that that concern has resulted in an iota of change in my eating habits.)

chicken: get free-range chicken (no guarantee they haven't been fed other chickens or cows though)

their coffee is pretty good for what it is, but I wish they would offer more beans in medium roast and not medium dark roast
