dad was at the match today, him and my brother thought they were mediocre at best and the position is flattering as hell

That was pretty much the conclusion after the QPR game too iirc. Still, lots of teams have had just as easy starts.

could they make that montage seem any more like a hastily cribbed together obituary tribute

smh @ darragh

Idk, wisdom like peace comes dropping slow i guess. I can see an argument for yellow, i can see an argument for play on, i support an argument for red.

I really dig how much enjoyment the City fans are taking from their team at the moment. United were like that about a decade ago.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 2 October 2011 10:18 (fourteen years ago)

Utd fans were like that a couple of weeks ago

Number None, Sunday, 2 October 2011 10:20 (fourteen years ago)

Ha, maybe - it looks great fun to be supporting City right now though.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 2 October 2011 10:25 (fourteen years ago)

1309: Extraordinary. I've just seen Spurs boss Harry Redknapp being interviewed on Sky Sports ahead of today's north London derby, wearing a pair of what I can only describe as a pair of 'Ronnie Corbett' glasses. I just hope he leaves them on for the game...

whilst a lot of the media interest has been centred on Blackburn and Sunderland, Bolton look like they could be doomed by Halloween.

Dios mio! This kid is FUN to hit! (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 2 October 2011 13:01 (fourteen years ago)

Bolton are terrible, and will continue to be until Holden or Lee get back.

pandemic, Sunday, 2 October 2011 13:03 (fourteen years ago)

This Sturridge chap could be a good bet to solve Citeh's striker crisis.

James Mitchell, Sunday, 2 October 2011 13:05 (fourteen years ago)

i love the Sturridge fam

Dios mio! This kid is FUN to hit! (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 2 October 2011 13:09 (fourteen years ago)

idk, bolton's schedule has been pretty tough. losses to city, pool, united, arsenal, and chelsea don't really seem like warning signs. but losing to norwich at home does.

mizzell, Sunday, 2 October 2011 13:23 (fourteen years ago)

There were pieces at new year predicting this kind of trouble for Bolton. Basically, they've run out of money and their recent performance is a bit of a bubble.

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 2 October 2011 13:52 (fourteen years ago)

Bolton won only one of their last six last season. 6 points out of 39 since mid-April.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Song, Gibbs, Coquelin, Arteta, Ramsey, Walcott, Gervino, Van Persie.

Tottenham: Friedel; Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto; Van der Vaart, Parker, Modric, Bale; Adebayor, Defoe.

assume that is vdv at right wing, has he ever done anything playing there before?

could be a very high scoring game

diouf est le papa du foot galsen merde lè haters (nakhchivan), Sunday, 2 October 2011 14:21 (fourteen years ago)

Sure there was some discussion here btw MattDC and DMac about VDV playing on the right? Has done it before for Spurs to good effect? Possibly only in one game tho

pandemic, Sunday, 2 October 2011 14:24 (fourteen years ago)

doesn't work for holland either

Did anyone watch Chelsea? I only saw the second goal (Lampard), but it was a peach of a team goal.

Andy Wilkinson somehow avoided a red card after momentarily thinking he was a pole dancer and wrapping his legs around Nathan Dyer.

Chris, Sunday, 2 October 2011 14:43 (fourteen years ago)

basically it's a new crisis for villas-boas who has now permanently alienated his best and second most english player while perservering with poohead torres for too long and they would have won every game 5-1 if only they let martin samuel pick the team

Crouch plants his studs in another Swansea player's thigh and also avoids red.
