seem to have had a go at them for the last half hour, doesn't alter the result or the sequence of results and imo McCarthy's reached the limit of what he's gonna achieve, if we don't get rid it's gonna be another exciting struggle for 17th all season and that's not good enough.

oh god knows but you reach a point, right? a lot of the potential replacements wd be potentially nightmarish but there's only so long you can watch a guy make the same "mistakes" - not mistakes, really, just his approach to players and the game - without wanting rid. i think the squad is good enough to finish comfortably midtable if the right players play with the right approach, but we still need to address the glaring fucking deficiencies at both FB positions and in the holding midfield role, deficiencies he's seen fit to do nothing about for at least 2 seasons now

i dunno are these guys midtable tbh but can sympathise with mick being more of a problem than an asset at this stage. The next step isn't there and his negative outlook is a hindrace to taking it.

there's the makings of a reasonable EPL team there in an EPL that isn't that great tbh, we're playing good football in fits and starts. you're right about his cautiousness but there's also this irrational patience with some players and an inability to be tactically flexible as far as i can see
