"i'm being audited by the IRS" "no, your worst nightmare!" was such a clumsy attempt at a joke because that's everybody's worst nightmare, not just the crazy libertarian guy who hates the government meddling in his life

there was an uncharacteristic amount of clumsiness in this ep.

It was slow imo. It's like they've gone right, we made this "Tammys" promise, let's get it over with.

i felt like they did all these 720 jokes already and the detlef schremph isn't it funny that this guys knows a lot about business stuff joke was lame. weak episode.

yeah the "praire drinkoff" was really stupid too. But whatever, let's move on.

i feel bad for adam scott, he's really getting painted into a boring pattern of always going "hey these characters are being crazy/irresponsible, i should point it out!"

yeah if this was all they had planned for him they should have just kept Paul Schneider!

drink-off gives the glory that is Amy Poehler playing drunk and going "everybody pants now pantspantspantspantspants" and if that's weak then y'all are crazy

I felt stuff like "jail, ron!" and "you literally are a gold digger" fell flat, but that snarky b-ball players, neutered wimp Ron and drunk Leslie were enough to keep the ep afloat

waaaaay better than the Office ep! whoa!

the great line wasn't "Jail, Ron! Ron, jail! Jail! Jail!", it was Ron's response

Chris/Ann was surprisingly funny, I thought I was going to get tired of it at some point

The only thing that worries me about this show, which I love, is whether they might make a hero out of a Libertarian. Are the writers so inclined?

South Park is built on trumpeting libertarian values and it's still funny, so...big deal.

Best part of the cold open was the announcer, who actually sounded like a NPR voice. Castellaneta's character embodied that hoary stereotype of NPR dudes as touchy-feely liberal wimps.

Which I'm not saying is 100% groundless, but it was written and played too broadly to be recognizable.

When they first started the cold open I immediately thought of Garrison Keillor.

Ann was awesome this episode, I don't know why I gravitated towards that totally unimportant story line but it was great

i like that they're making andy somewhat competent, last week he thought of going to ron's mom (unsuccessful but a reasonable idea), this week he got the birth certificate for leslie.

i cracked up at the "gotcha!" sticker on the back of leslie's book. and all the crazy people at the book-signing. another good episode.
