Shall we anticpate the AMC series "Breaking Bad"? I think I may.

It should be noted that Hank and Marie do not have children, and therefore are slightly more expendable (dramatically) than the White family. I think Marie may not be with us much longer. :(

Art Arfons (La Lechera), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:13 (fourteen years ago)

how much money the carwash has lost (which skylar said was losing money iirc)

Really? I thought it was the opposite, even allowing for the "special services".

trishyb, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:14 (fourteen years ago)

yeah, remember the "quit your day job" discussion? she told walt that they were making a profit, right?

Art Arfons (La Lechera), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:16 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, the carwash is doing okay.

pullapartsquirrel (Jenny), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:17 (fourteen years ago)

It really bothers me that they went to the trouble of building a tilting washer secret entrance to the underground meth lair when there's a freight elevator right there.

the wheelie king (wk), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:20 (fourteen years ago)

She said the car wash would be making a profit in a few months, iirc.

Walt did not want Hank wacked because he still thinks he (Walt) has some power. But if Hank was going to turn Walt in, what do you think Walt would do? Especially if killing Hank could be used to his advantage in his relationship with Gus? Look how little arm twisting it took Skyler to set the B-team heavies on Ted.

Josh in Chicago, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:22 (fourteen years ago)

Maybe Gail designed the secret nerd entrance and Gus humored him?

Josh in Chicago, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:23 (fourteen years ago)

that was the A-team and she had exhausted dialogue

conrad, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:24 (fourteen years ago)

If the show were ending this season I would expect Gus to threaten Brock & his mom and give Jesse an ultimatum that he has to kill Walter. Jesse would then run around in a panic doing lots of dumb shit while trying to figure out how to save Mr White. In the end Walt would reveal to Jesse that his cancer has come back and he has two days to live so Jesse should just go ahead and kill him. Jesse shoots Walter, the end.

the wheelie king (wk), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:28 (fourteen years ago)

there's a fair possibility that Jesse is less down with Gus and his whole op than he's letting on, so the remaining poison cigarette deal doesn't seem that unlikely a scenario to me

pathos of the unwarranted encore (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:42 (fourteen years ago)

it does seem like this show doesnt like anything to be in a resting position, so the gus->jesse team is likely to experience stresses next ep or 2 imo

sorry for party blogging (D-40), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:45 (fourteen years ago)

Well, we already know, despite appearances, that there is still a strong bond between Walt and Jesse. Just as Walt was willing to make a fuss to keep Jesse on board, so was Jesse willing to make a stink to keep Walt safe, even though neither of them has anything to gain from the implicit allegiance.

Josh in Chicago, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 18:52 (fourteen years ago)

Whether Ted's dead or not, he's a bigger problem now. If that that top-of-the-head wound is still extant, it's obviously no accident (unless he was strolling around a construction site and oops forgot my hardhat, or explained that he liked to do hundred yard dashes around the house and oops that darn rug). Whether he's around or not, a $615,0000 deposit(to his personal account, by ?), followed by a check for the same amount (even if written to the good ol' IRS), a check written the same day as his crack-up, will surely be of interest, maybe to Hank's cop buddy, for instance.

dow, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 20:19 (fourteen years ago)

And if Ted is alive and remembers the accident's circumstances, he may finally be so freaked out he'll spill all the beans to the cops.

dow, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 20:21 (fourteen years ago)

By "around or not," I meant the A-Team may have buried him in the desert.

dow, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 20:22 (fourteen years ago)

maybe Ted dies and comes back to life and is elected zombie president in highly-promo'd AMC original series The Walking Dead

pathos of the unwarranted encore (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 20:22 (fourteen years ago)

can't wait for the blue-meth-caused-zombie-disease reveal

Rory's new misogynist car (Gukbe), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 20:23 (fourteen years ago)

i think ted's death won't have any repurcussions, well not any that are not caused by skylar's guilt over it.

you've got male (jim in glasgow), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 20:28 (fourteen years ago)

next season of AMCs the Killing to focus heavily on the ted investigation iirc

guh (jjjusten), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 20:30 (fourteen years ago)

ted's death was an accident

conrad, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 20:47 (fourteen years ago)

BTW, just to be sure we're all on the same page, Saul's A-team was totally a B-team at best. HIs erstwhile bodyguard, who spends most of his days asleep? And the dude who pretended to be an EPA inspector? That's some bumbling Coen Bros. "Fargo"-style shit. Ted's death was, too, for that matter.

Josh in Chicago, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 22:15 (fourteen years ago)

That's some bumbling Coen Bros. "Fargo"-style shit.

right after that call from marie, skylar gets a call from

conrad, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 22:27 (fourteen years ago)

i think it was meant to be jokey-obvious this was barely even a "b" team.

Porto for Pyros (The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall), Wednesday, 28 September 2011 22:35 (fourteen years ago)

Am sometimes thrown off by the deadpan of text.

Josh in Chicago, Wednesday, 28 September 2011 22:37 (fourteen years ago)

Like the fake EPA inspector guy, good actor.

It should be noted that Hank and Marie do not have children, and therefore are slightly more expendable (dramatically) than the White family. I think Marie may not be with us much longer. :(

Marie is pretty expendable dramatically now, Hank isn't at all, since the police are pretty minor characters and are looking the other way, he's the only one turning the screw.

All speculation obviously, but Marie dying would stretch the Walt and Skylar relationship to breaking point if not beyond it. Given she's Skylar's sister, and Skylar has been complicit in much of what's happened this season, except the really dangerous stuff that Walt has deliberately hidden from her.

Matt DC, Thursday, 29 September 2011 09:35 (fourteen years ago)

Actually in a show that's pretty economical with its cast Marie might be the only expendable main character at the moment, although Gus dying would set up a big change of emphasis for the final season.

Matt DC, Thursday, 29 September 2011 09:50 (fourteen years ago)

There are two more seasons after this

Number None, Thursday, 29 September 2011 10:10 (fourteen years ago)

Where did you read that?

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Thursday, 29 September 2011 10:11 (fourteen years ago)

It's 16 episodes. Just checking now, I guess it hasn't been totally confirmed but most sources say they expect them to be split into two.

Number None, Thursday, 29 September 2011 10:13 (fourteen years ago)

Does that mean 8 episodes one year and 8 the next, or one longer season with a break of a couple of months in the middle?

Matt DC, Thursday, 29 September 2011 10:27 (fourteen years ago)

Who knows really? It could be ten episodes with a cliffhanger and then a completely mental final six.

Number None, Thursday, 29 September 2011 10:41 (fourteen years ago)

maybe it'll be 15 subdued episodes then a really nutty one-shot a year later.

Clay, Thursday, 29 September 2011 13:18 (fourteen years ago)

or maybe some other configuration thereof

conrad, Thursday, 29 September 2011 13:24 (fourteen years ago)

One episode a year.

Jeff, Thursday, 29 September 2011 13:29 (fourteen years ago)

Or maybe 160 webisodes.

Jeff, Thursday, 29 September 2011 13:30 (fourteen years ago)

they should just give me all the episodes right now

ice cr?m, Thursday, 29 September 2011 13:30 (fourteen years ago)

I want pay-per-view live broadcasts of the table reads -- they don't even have to make the episodes.
