if warnock exaggerates traore's sin now and comes down on him like a ton of bricks then maybe just maybe the kid will learn not to do it again when it might matter. and that, dearest arsenal fans, is how you make players out of raw talent.

r|t|c, Monday, 26 September 2011 10:13 (fourteen years ago)

as for the game, villa were pathetic and the ref's a fucking cunt. we've still got some issues to iron out but on a normal day would still have been worth a two goal victory.

r|t|c, Monday, 26 September 2011 10:16 (fourteen years ago)

I was disappointed Dunne didn't actually come out to accept his MOTM award, there's every possibility he just told them to fuck off though

Number None, Monday, 26 September 2011 10:17 (fourteen years ago)

and yes, the ref had a shocker

Number None, Monday, 26 September 2011 10:17 (fourteen years ago)

no, that is how you get midtable guys at best out of raw talent. whatever the fuck wenger did w/ henry at monaco and wilshere the past ten years is how you get players from raw talent.

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Monday, 26 September 2011 10:18 (fourteen years ago)

i don't see the comparison between Wilshere and Henry?

Number None, Monday, 26 September 2011 10:19 (fourteen years ago)

Wilshere is 19 and he's a first team regular

Number None, Monday, 26 September 2011 10:19 (fourteen years ago)

what, getting blatantly super talented players to play like themselves? yeah whatever.

as if so happens, qpr actually are a midtable side. but in the newcastle and wolves games i was still surprised with how good traore was; certainly better than i'd ever seen him for arsenal. once he gets a bit of discipline trained into him he'll be a very decent player indeed. v plausibly a cut above yr upson, muamba, larsson types potentially.

r|t|c, Monday, 26 September 2011 10:29 (fourteen years ago)

btw ahoyhoy if i search the archives am i gonna find you spouting off somewhere saying how traore is the future and is further evidence of arsene's masterplan?

r|t|c, Monday, 26 September 2011 10:32 (fourteen years ago)

umm

James Mitchell, Monday, 26 September 2011 10:38 (fourteen years ago)

yeah that was after he got motm in the wolves game? do keep up.

r|t|c, Monday, 26 September 2011 10:40 (fourteen years ago)

xpost Don't think there's a single QPR fan who wouldn't accept mid-table as a great achievement out of a team made up of perennial underachievers, honest toilers and mental flair players.

Viva Brother Beyond (ithappens), Monday, 26 September 2011 11:20 (fourteen years ago)

bit like arsenal really

Gary Numan, or Gary Fletcher (ken c), Monday, 26 September 2011 13:44 (fourteen years ago)

tbf i've always gone gibbs >> traore.

fergie says telly has too much power

"When you shake hands with the devil you have to pay the price," he said. "Television is God at the moment."

Great way with words there.

do you get some kind of alert every time Ferguson gives an interview?

Number None, Monday, 26 September 2011 19:00 (fourteen years ago)

ah come on it's a keegan-esque quote, i might not have posted if it wasn't fergie but still would have thought it was dumb.

When a German communicates, you listen (LocalGarda), Monday, 26 September 2011 19:20 (fourteen years ago)

plus it's been plastered all over the BBC today

the morbius challopelago (cozen), Monday, 26 September 2011 19:23 (fourteen years ago)

Kieran Richardson is a fucking awful player.

(i don't really have an opinion atm tbh) (boxall), Monday, 26 September 2011 19:26 (fourteen years ago)

Just a bit of joshing. You can't deny you have a weakness for an inflammatory Fergie quote

Number None, Monday, 26 September 2011 19:28 (fourteen years ago)

haha no i know, of course! it's not that it was inflammatory, just calling tv god and the devil within the same quote.

When a German communicates, you listen (LocalGarda), Monday, 26 September 2011 19:30 (fourteen years ago)

actually sort of beautifully put except don't credit fergie with that

When a German communicates, you listen (LocalGarda), Monday, 26 September 2011 19:30 (fourteen years ago)

I avoid Fergie rants tbh. Cast a brief eye over the headline and move on is the best policy i find

Number None, Monday, 26 September 2011 19:35 (fourteen years ago)

and yes, Richardson is a fucking awful player. The hatred i had for him when he played for Utd was strong

Number None, Monday, 26 September 2011 19:36 (fourteen years ago)

Wes Brown looking awful tonight as well, Norwich up 2-0.

(i don't really have an opinion atm tbh) (boxall), Monday, 26 September 2011 20:05 (fourteen years ago)

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is preparing to make a shock move for Manchester United striker Michael Owen, according to reports in Caughtoffside.com
Still one more important injury left in his career.

James Mitchell, Tuesday, 27 September 2011 12:28 (fourteen years ago)

that would be too perfect

Number None, Tuesday, 27 September 2011 12:31 (fourteen years ago)

When Fergie's complaining about the influence of TV, what he actually means is "we should be paid more money". He knows full well that if United could engineer an international rights deal similar to the one Barca or Real have then United would be sitting pretty.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 27 September 2011 12:36 (fourteen years ago)

that's a stretch

Number None, Tuesday, 27 September 2011 12:38 (fourteen years ago)

didn't he actually say that the distribution was fair?

pandemic, Tuesday, 27 September 2011 12:41 (fourteen years ago)

actually, having just checked it he does sort of contradict himself on that issue.

Number None, Tuesday, 27 September 2011 12:50 (fourteen years ago)

clubs shd be free to negotiate their own rights deals providing they don't belong to a league and are free to negotiate individual meaningless friendlies

Sunderland defender Titus Bramble has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and possession of a Class A drug.

Same incident as before?

Mancini is alleged to have told Tevez he could “f***off back to Argentina” after the former City skipper defied his boss by refusing to come off the bench in Tuesday's Champions League group game.

City boss Mancini is also understood to have directed a similar volley of abuse at Edin Dzeko, telling him to “f*** off back to Bosnia,” after he reacted angrily to being subbed in the 2-0 defeat.

r|t|c, Thursday, 29 September 2011 14:59 (fourteen years ago)

Would be hilarious if Mancini got the sack for this.

YEP my thoughts exactly

r|t|c, Thursday, 29 September 2011 15:08 (fourteen years ago)

This would never have happened under Garry Cook.

You might think ED jests but not once in Cook's reign as chief executive did a high-profile striker decide he didn't want to play in a showpiece Champions League match. It never happened.

because this is their first time in the cl?
