i have to admit the dude fairington who i kickstarted this whole right wing cartoonists game with is still my favorite, dude combines understandable right wing talking points with non-shitty art and you never get railroaded by that uneasy wtf feeling you have with most of these

right wing talking points make me uneasy

The one about the lawyers makes maybe the least sense of any of these so far. It's just so weirdly... RONG.

I'm not entirely sure how the Cuban medical system is mainlining lies into the guy. Are they just like "uh, you're better now, never mind that cough" or something?
― kingfish, Thursday, 24 May 2007 22:25 (nineteen years ago)
The one about the lawyers makes maybe the least sense of any of these so far.
it makes perfect sense because there are no Republican lawyers. all lawyers are Democrats.
― dmr, Thursday, 24 May 2007 22:28 (nineteen years ago)
Right? SO WEIRD. As if lawyers don't fight for both lefty causes and righty ones. Does he think the ACLU invented law or something?
― kenan, Thursday, 24 May 2007 22:32 (nineteen years ago)
I'm not entirely sure how the Cuban medical system is mainlining lies into the guy.
How could a Cuban do anything BUT lie? And how could Michael Moore do anything but believe in communism?
― kenan, Thursday, 24 May 2007 22:47 (nineteen years ago)
This one makes me laugh, just for the insinuation that Harry Reid is the Joker:

roffle roffle at our very own personalised anti-hotlinking image. If only mr steve had been so creative.
― Pashmina, Friday, 25 May 2007 16:59 (nineteen years ago)
The question is, which BRC will be the next to do this? I doubt anyone of the others have enough of a sense of humour...
― Neil S, Friday, 25 May 2007 17:01 (nineteen years ago)
our anti-hotlink image needs some glitter animations
― elmo argonaut, Friday, 25 May 2007 17:02 (nineteen years ago)
That really is awesome! I hope he's read the thread rather than just checked where all the page views are coming from. Whatever his politics a cartoonist has to make sure his visuals get their message across, and Faithmouse seems to be one of the least clear (it's not helped by the drawing style).
Anyway, Dan Lacey, welcome! Please respond to criticism and start a dialogue with us!

that faithmouse thing makes me so happy!!
dan lacey u so cracey

I'm waiting with bated breath for Day By Day to do the same.
― righteousmaelstrom, Friday, 25 May 2007 17:05 (nineteen years ago)
hasn't he posted here before? or am I getting ILX confused with one of several other forums where I've seen him show up, Derek Smart-style, to respond to discussions of his work?
xpost Dan Lacey, I mean
― bernard snowy, Friday, 25 May 2007 17:07 (nineteen years ago)
Lacey showed up on SA, but not here(yet).

At least he's an okay cartoonist. Damned if I understand his thinking, tho. I'm not seeing the anti-hotlink....?

Y'know, there's probably a joke or an irony to be made from the whole "dead servicemen" and "cheap gasoline" thing, but there ya go.
― kingfish, Friday, 25 May 2007 17:36 (nineteen years ago)
I'm not seeing the anti-hotlink....?
very top cartoon on the thread used to be an illegal immigrants cartoon, now it is a rainbow mouse saluting that says "come with me to the land of batshit rightwing cartoonists"
it's about 3 places in the thread
― dmr, Friday, 25 May 2007 17:43 (nineteen years ago)
OMG, right that. Wow.
― forksclovetofu, Friday, 25 May 2007 17:49 (nineteen years ago)

i mean, yeah, they're mad cute, but where does jesus enter the picture?? is there some sea mammal celibacy movement?
― elmo argonaut, Friday, 25 May 2007 17:51 (nineteen years ago)

The current DbD storyline is apparently mocking the librul media bare-midriffed chick for getting sick on the C-130 flight into Iraq, 'cuz libruls are pussies and get airsick, y'see.
Don't believe me?
― kingfish, Friday, 25 May 2007 18:11 (nineteen years ago)
How does anti-hotlinking work? Can you set it to be a certain image if a certain site looks at it, or are there rightwing Xtian Faithmouse-fan forums out there that are now plastered with this image?
― V, Friday, 25 May 2007 18:19 (nineteen years ago)
It isn't an 'anti-hotlink'; I just thought it would look cool at the top of your thread.
I'm a regular at Portal of Evil and I also post at a number of other forums as well.
Thanks for posting.

Holy shit, this is a first. Now we only need to get Chris Muir on here, and have him start babbling on about under-reported black-on-white crime.
