I might try Edinburgh.

Tim (Tim), Monday, 9 May 2005 13:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I just saw Patrick at Queen Street Station. I was with two work people and we both acted embarrassed.

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 9 May 2005 14:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Patrick is taking my picture, tonight!

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 9 May 2005 14:35 (twenty-one years ago)

what about glasgow?

RJG (RJG), Monday, 9 May 2005 14:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Hopefully see you, in the house, in Glasgow, RJG!

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 9 May 2005 15:00 (twenty-one years ago)

It's funny, I was in the Architecture Building and I wondered, as I always do, if I would bump into RJG. Patrick at Queen Street I'd never have guessed.

Madchen (Madchen), Monday, 9 May 2005 15:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I am only ever in the AB 10PM-10AM.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 9 May 2005 15:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I think you should actively look for RJG in the Architecture Buildings, by peeping through the little windows in the doors. Hopefully, somewhere they will be having a slide show, probably of buildings, and you will spot RJG by his massive quiff casting a mighty shadow over the screen.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Monday, 9 May 2005 15:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Madchen, please tell me about FREE WINE! I am currently drinking nearly free wine, as Tesco across the road from my house are selling their own brand Australian Red for £1.89 per bottle, with a 5% discount if you buy six bottles. This is, like, almost free. And I don't have to go to the SECC to drink it (however, I also don't have Madchen's company, so swings and roundabouts, innit)

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 9 May 2005 15:36 (twenty-one years ago)

But does it taste like vinegar?

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 9 May 2005 16:31 (twenty-one years ago)

No, it doesn't. It is surprisingly OK for the price. Offer ends tomorrow so I may go and buy more.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 9 May 2005 16:33 (twenty-one years ago)

surely, every building is an architecture building.

yes, that was twatty.

sadly there is no time left to try aberdeen.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 9 May 2005 16:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Why? Did you destroy it when you left?

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 9 May 2005 16:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Tim, it would be rude not to!

KeefW (kmw), Monday, 9 May 2005 17:02 (twenty-one years ago)

(Although I thought you'd weaned yourself off of ILX)

KeefW (kmw), Monday, 9 May 2005 17:05 (twenty-one years ago)

'off of'?

Mooro (Mooro), Monday, 9 May 2005 17:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Is that ungrammatical? I wouldn't know.

KeefW (kmw), Monday, 9 May 2005 17:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Great Jefferson Starship record by the way... Cheers!

KeefW (kmw), Monday, 9 May 2005 17:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Aberdeen weekend after next? Not possible?

Ally C (Ally C), Monday, 9 May 2005 22:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll see what I can do.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 06:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Ailsa, I'm not sure I can go any more - I am going away on Friday morning and if I don't do some packing between now and then I will have nothing to wear and I am already doing stuff tonight and tomorrow so Thursday is my only chance. There are no names on the tickets, so I can post you them if you want. I got another one the other day, so there are now 6 free places if you want to take people. Sorry! I am disorganised and should have done less faffing at the weekend.

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 09:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, don't worry about it. I'm not that desperate for free wine, honest, I just thought it would be a good excuse to go out with you for booze. Where are you going, when are you back and do you want to take me shopping, with me providing food/booze/coffee breaks as and when required?

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 15:51 (twenty-one years ago)

are we at the beginning of the end of an era?

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 16:57 (twenty-one years ago)

What, me starting voluntarily going shopping, or me turning down free booze? Or something else entirely?

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 17:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Goodbye, 148.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 17:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Where will I go?

: ((((

Cathy (Cathy), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 17:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Eh? What? Where are you going?

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 17:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I used to go to 148, far too often. Maybe now I'll have to go to Spain.

Cathy (Cathy), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 17:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Who is having to move out of R3nfr3w Str33t, & why, please?

Mooro (Mooro), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 18:27 (twenty-one years ago)

WE DEMAND ANSWERS!!

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 21:25 (twenty-one years ago)

They finally caught up with Khan. Glasgow, find us a beautiful 3 bedroom place by July, please.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 07:03 (twenty-one years ago)

...that is cheap, central and has understanding neighbours...

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 07:34 (twenty-one years ago)

...and at least one warm room.

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 07:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Ailsa, I'm being organised and Thursday could be back on - call me!

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 07:35 (twenty-one years ago)

You live on Wenfoo Stweet? I don't know why it has to be in code, but still...

I think, where I would most like to live in Glasgow, now, in my 'middle youth', is in the Merchant City.

Sadly, I believe this is impossible.

I would also like to live in Marlow, I have decided.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 07:46 (twenty-one years ago)

they are building 10000000000 new flats, every day, in the merchant city, PJ.

unfortunately, all 10000000000 of them cost 10000000000 pounds, probably.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 08:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Nah, the new ones are all for students (probably the ones who will have to live there once they've sold off Jordanhill). I live in Merchant City East, according to some estate agents.

I am waiting to find out when I can Try Dublin More.

Madchen (Madchen), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 08:59 (twenty-one years ago)

It was the students I was hoping to avoid. I will have to think again.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 09:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Now I want a house. Probably in Portland.

Ally C (Ally C), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 09:35 (twenty-one years ago)

miller is moving to glasgow?
i'll find you guys a new flat. i've already spotted a few contenders.
you can even get a house - including 'bathroom with shoer' - for a measly 525 a month! in beautiful milngavie.. muahahaha
i'm watching a fascinating show about a sausage competition... ah, the joys of daytime television. just killing time till i can edit those all important letters. why haven't i gotten any from you???
'for keith it's sausage heartache. it's alan who takes home the bacon...'

dahlin (dahlin), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 10:44 (twenty-one years ago)

No, I'm not moving to Glasgow. I am just idly speculating on where I'd like to live if I did. But I'm not. I doubt I ever will. But I wouldn't mind, all else being equal. Which it isn't.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 10:57 (twenty-one years ago)

are they tearing 148 down?

just when you find out nitsuh lives below you, too.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 13:03 (twenty-one years ago)

do I want to interview ariel pink?

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 13:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, poor Nitsuh. Ask Ariel Pink if he is a dick.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 17:05 (twenty-one years ago)

PJ's last post=the 3000th

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 17:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Madchen, I tried but failed to get a picture of Bonzo. BONZO!

Glasgow missed an excellent evening of pervy men in bed in their kilts, free booze, women who looked like they had been drawn by Terry Gilliam, slimy bruschetta, Miss Marple hats, Wee Andra from Rab C Nesbitt, Paul Young (the fishing one, not the Love Will Tear Us Apart murdering one), drunken cheque wielding and racist cartoons. Antique fairs RULE! (also free booze and men with little sausages)
