A £100,000 signing from Stoke who has just completed 200 games for Mick McCarthy, Henry is not only a value-buy but a player very much in his manager's image. "I'm a no-nonsense sort of footballer, I suppose," he says.

1217: BREAKING NEWS: We're hearing there's a doubt about today's Wolves-QPR match because of a power cut in Wolverhampton. There's currently no power at Molineux and club officials have promised a further update soon.

will be gutted for ithappens tho if it, um, doesn't happen

Chapman Pincher Overdrive (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 17 September 2011 11:49 (fourteen years ago)

This afternoon's game between Wolves and Queens Park Rangers is now set to go ahead after power was restored to Molineux.

We have been told by the electricity supplier that the restored power should be retained for the rest of the day to allow the game to go ahead.

Fans are advised that the loss of power for approximately 90 minutes will mean some disruption to food service, especially in corporate areas, and are asked to show patience as a result.

The power was off throughout Wolverhampton City Centre from approximately 11.05am.

I think I am going to love Gervinho - big fore head and all.

gervinho is a dude with bad dreads. it looks silly but dreads on a black dude isn't exactly some craaaaaazy hair choice. sandro's looks like he lost a bet or four.

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 17 September 2011 12:10 (fourteen years ago)

talking of losing bets - I'm sticking to my "never bet on Arsenal" rule this season, no matter what.

It took you how many seasons?

1. That was a sweet finish.
2. That was a lol offside line.

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 17 September 2011 12:12 (fourteen years ago)

this Blackburn team are something tho

Chapman Pincher Overdrive (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 17 September 2011 12:13 (fourteen years ago)

Too many seasons and too many heartbreaking if onlys on too many coupons. 4-0 up on Newcastle should have been the last straw but I think I still went back for more after that.

Nice goal from Yakubu.

(still fancy Arsenal to win easy though. must...not...bet)

Arsenal concede a ridiculously silly goal from a set-piece? See i am surprised on account of this never happening over the past five years.

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 17 September 2011 12:54 (fourteen years ago)

Watching Arsenal on laptop and Hibs on telly. Crimes against defending everywhere.

All through that break I was thinking 'this is going to be the worst goal ever' - not for a moment was I expecting that finish

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 17 September 2011 13:12 (fourteen years ago)

They don't have time for four more, do they?

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 17 September 2011 13:13 (fourteen years ago)

Thank God for Arsenal.

"I don't think any of us foresaw this scoreline" - ffs Craig Burley or whoever this is, do try to keep up

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 17 September 2011 13:16 (fourteen years ago)

It's Arsenal's first trip to the north-west since their 8-2 humiliation at Manchester United, but they go there a completely different side.

Then they were a pitiful shambles. But Tuesday's draw in Dortmund showed they have their pride back and with new signings already bedding in, they can look to end a shabby record of only one win in their last 10 away league games.

Chapman Pincher Overdrive (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 17 September 2011 13:16 (fourteen years ago)

tbf it'll be no wins from ten soon enough

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 17 September 2011 13:17 (fourteen years ago)

Hahaha
At least you can't be accused of glory hunting Ismael.
btw anyone know what's caused saha's existential meltdown?
