How have Man United got so good so quickly? Compared to the dour shite they were mostly serving up last season, every single player seems to have just come screaming out of the blocks. That was a brilliant sequence. Between Henderson and Adam I think Liverpool had five or six shots on target in something like 12 seconds.

Meireles had Chelsea fans purring, and the team is looking so much more mobile and fluent with him, Sturridge and Mata. Sturridge has the audacity of youth that we've been missing since Robben.

This is the strongest squad we've had for a while - yesterday was the first game for years when it was hard to predict the starting XI - and I think we can have a very good season, but just wish the United game wasn't coming round so soon...
