Hints:

- caital (and largest) city of its country
- not a trick photo (that building is probably the closest thing the city has to a landmark)

*capital

wrong... hemisphere

Autumn Almanac, Wednesday, 7 September 2011 10:20 (fourteen years ago)

I have no idea, looks like an industrial park outside King's Lynn but I'm assuming it's something much grander. It's a weird building because the bit on the left looks like it should be huge but it's only about 10 floors high? And that is some nondescript landscaping (or countryside).

wrong... hemisphere

So, definitely not King's Lynn.

Ned Trifle X, Wednesday, 7 September 2011 10:27 (fourteen years ago)

It could be some industrial estate on the eastern edge of London, and it *is* quite a striking landmark

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 7 September 2011 11:11 (fourteen years ago)

I need to be careful with hints because I could give it away very easily. English is very widely present in the country.

First of Icecream's most recent pictures features Hindi script, unless I'm mistaken?

Almanac's is Gabarone, Botswana.
Details like hemisphere + city status make this game more fun

twyla, the curator (Ówen P.), Wednesday, 7 September 2011 15:37 (fourteen years ago)

Gaborone = correct!

Autumn Almanac, Wednesday, 7 September 2011 20:24 (fourteen years ago)

Icecream's 3 photos feature: Hindi script, people wearing jackets even though sky is blue, and godawful hackneyed paintings on conspicuous display. Leads me to suspect westerner-friendly tourist location at reasonable altitude in northern India or Nepal, but I don't really know any such places. I'll guess Rishikesh, if that's even a city.
