i'm just very 'go big or go home' about these things, i wouldn't let myself do something like swagliacci until i'd gone down the whole Pagliacci wiki page looking for some opportunity to make it more involved (incidentally apparently Pagliacci ends with the playing of a percussion instrument called the tam-tam but i don't see anyway that would be useful).
