Dos Santos to Wigan has this air of weary inevitability about it. Surely there must be a Spanish club willing to stump up for him?

Matt DC, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 13:03 (fourteen years ago)

Parker has gone to Spurs

Number None, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 13:06 (fourteen years ago)

Ribery to Chelsea doing the rounds. Sneijder to United back on.

So Spurs get Parker, Chelsea sign Ribery and swap Malouda and Benayoun for Modric....

is that for Ribery or for me...

1359: At Villa Park, meanwhile, a source close to the club has told BBC Sport's Alistair Magowan there has been no movement on Alan Hutton's switch from Tottenham. But the club are likely to reach an agreement today with Shamrock Rovers' Enda Stevens to join in January. The left-back wants to finish the season in Ireland and take part in the Europa League against Spurs.

This is kinda depressing for a club who were gunning for fourth not so long ago.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 13:14 (fourteen years ago)

I had presumed you would 'ave a last go for Modric, but we'd've heard about it by now surely

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 13:16 (fourteen years ago)

Rovers are in Europe and Villa aren't. It's clearly a step down for the lad.

Number None, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 13:17 (fourteen years ago)

From the Guardian

The Ribery to Chelsea rumour is swirling with increasing force. A few thoughts from our very own Bundesliga boffin Raf Honigstein on Twitter (@honigstein): "A few initial thoughts. a) he's CL-tied. b) reported wages on offer far too low; c) German transfer list closed, so Bayern couldn't bring anyone in, even if they sold."

Number None, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 13:21 (fourteen years ago)

Ribery has looked really good so far this season, and with Robben injured (again) not so sure they will want to let him go. Muller doesn't like being shunted onto the left wing, nor does Kroos. They have got Alaba but he prefers the right side. Would be good move on Chelsea's part tho.

Jermaine Jenas has left Tottenham bound for a medical at Aston Villa, it is believed

James Mitchell, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 13:38 (fourteen years ago)

I can hear DMac's sharp inhale of breath from here.

pandemic, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 13:39 (fourteen years ago)

There hasn't even been a Jenas-to-Inter rumour this year.

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 13:49 (fourteen years ago)

Ribery at Chelsea has definite lols written all over it. Doesn't he hate Malouda? And as if the Premiership hasn't had enough prostitution scandals in the past year or two...

gay socialists smoking mushrooms with their illegal gardeners (a hoy hoy), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 13:50 (fourteen years ago)

Sort of think Jenas would do pretty well in a team as, ahem, direct as Villa.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 14:02 (fourteen years ago)

Bayern say Ribery rumours are nonsense. Phew.

isn't house rubbish and Pete W mental (Pete W), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 14:04 (fourteen years ago)

Parker fee was £5m apparently, not bad business at all.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 14:30 (fourteen years ago)

Think he'll be good for Spurs for a couple of seasons.

pandemic, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 14:44 (fourteen years ago)

Bendtner sr. was at Stoke's headquarters earlier today, but supposedly the deal is off.

boxall, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 14:55 (fourteen years ago)

Everton shed another striker (beckford to Leics probably), how many does that leave them with? Oh well at least you know you'll get a full season out of Saha.

And Yakubu to Blackburn?

Chris, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 14:55 (fourteen years ago)

Not technically EPL but:

DONE DEAL Wolfsburg have signed Alexander Hleb on a one-year loan from Barcelona.

boxall, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 14:58 (fourteen years ago)

Forlan to Inter as well.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:02 (fourteen years ago)

parker's a very good, dynamic all-round centre midfield player. With Sandro out he'll at least provide a better screen for the defence than we'd have had otherwise for now. With everyone fit I don't know if he makes the first team, though.

Juata Man (darraghmac), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:12 (fourteen years ago)

Malouda refusing to leave Chelsea. That's the spirit Flo.

isn't house rubbish and Pete W mental (Pete W), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:12 (fourteen years ago)

Why are they trying to sell Malouda? That makes no sense.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:14 (fourteen years ago)

Look forward to seeing evidence that Hlb is still alive when I next see Wolfsburg. Is Diego still there somewhere?

pandemic, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:15 (fourteen years ago)

hleb

pandemic, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:15 (fourteen years ago)

Diego is supposed to sign for Atletico Madrid in the next few hours.

boxall, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:16 (fourteen years ago)

on loan

boxall, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:17 (fourteen years ago)

Perfect fit there, basket case club with basket case player. Could be wondrous, could be a train wreck.

pandemic, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:32 (fourteen years ago)

Bellamy on his way to Liverpool for a medical.

goodbye next failed french youngster, hope you do better than aliadiere

gay socialists smoking mushrooms with their illegal gardeners (a hoy hoy), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:36 (fourteen years ago)

VICENTE TO BRIGHTON!

This is *the* Vicente? Wow. I was sad to hear he had retired after last season.

boxall, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:36 (fourteen years ago)

I thought Sunu looked good for France U-20, maybe there's a buyback clause.

(How many times has Aliadiere scored against Arsenal now, for like three different clubs?)

boxall, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:38 (fourteen years ago)

Malouda out to make space for Pereira, or as makeweight in Modric deal perhaps?

isn't house rubbish and Pete W mental (Pete W), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:41 (fourteen years ago)

where's malouda going?

sonderangerbot, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:43 (fourteen years ago)

NOWHERE!

isn't house rubbish and Pete W mental (Pete W), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:43 (fourteen years ago)

Juventus looks unlikely as they've already signed Eljero Elia.

boxall, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:44 (fourteen years ago)

He's said he wants to stay, though rumours linking him with Spurs/Arsenal.

isn't house rubbish and Pete W mental (Pete W), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:44 (fourteen years ago)

Pereira is def an attacking wing-back style defender and can play midfield, but not far enough up the pitch to be competing with Malouda for the same spot, I wouldn't think.

boxall, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:44 (fourteen years ago)

Malouda would have gone to Arsenal but surely not now Arsene has gone mental

Euripides Trousers (Tom D.), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:45 (fourteen years ago)

QPR have signed AC Milan youth product Tommaso Trani on a two-year deal after the goalkeeper was released by the Rossoneri.

QPR's head of youth development Steve Gallen moved quickly to snap up the Italian after watching him train with the Premier League club.

"As soon as I saw him walk through the door at the training ground, I thought: 'Wow'. And within a minute of watching him train I wanted to sign him."

gallen falls in love with a trani hur hur

r|t|c, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:45 (fourteen years ago)

... in the past, I mean, before marble misplacement (xp)

Euripides Trousers (Tom D.), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:46 (fourteen years ago)

don't get it really. any epl club should be happy to have malouda imo and that's not just fantasy football bias on my part.

sonderangerbot, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:50 (fourteen years ago)

Leicester City left-back Paul Konchesky tells BBC Sport's Paul Fletcher what players who are not on the move get up to on deadline day: "With training finished for the day, I'll be putting my feet up and watching the final few hours of the transfer deadline to see whether we sign anybody. At Leicester you never quite know."

Matt DC, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:53 (fourteen years ago)

With insight like that you can see why they went straight for the Konch.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:53 (fourteen years ago)

fulham have bid for hutton, betley going to west ham, spurs might actually get their roster down to 25.

mizzell, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:57 (fourteen years ago)

I MUST NOT BELIEVE I MUST NOT BELIEVE I MUST NOT BELIEVE...

Matt DC, Wednesday, 31 August 2011 15:58 (fourteen years ago)

I agree, think we should hang on to Malouda. Course him saying 'I don't want to leave' when asked by a journalist does not necessarily mean Chelsea have tried to sell him.

isn't house rubbish and Pete W mental (Pete W), Wednesday, 31 August 2011 16:04 (fourteen years ago)

jenas crouch hutton bentley out

Fuuuuuuuck
