well, that was a good day spend 7 hours of in the pub.

nothing to add other than to voice my perturbation that google image search isn't having any of my ardent sudden conviction that tom cleverley is just a shit bobby davro. i know it's still true though.

can ahoyhoy tell me the one about djourou being a top defender again though? pretty please?

r|t|c, Sunday, 28 August 2011 19:09 (fourteen years ago)

can't believe I golfed through all of that

This game was crying out for Andy Gray.

you've got male (jim in glasgow), Sunday, 28 August 2011 19:34 (fourteen years ago)

can you beat arsenal's below-par performance

Richter scale? I hardly even knew 'er! (darraghmac), Sunday, 28 August 2011 19:35 (fourteen years ago)

If any one - just one, not all - of Vermaelen, Sagna, Gibbs had played today, the defence as a whole might have been 25% less horrific, but probably still would have been mauled by 4-5 goals, and that player's reputation would probably never recover, at least until he left the club. Is that a silver lining?

boxall, Sunday, 28 August 2011 19:37 (fourteen years ago)

sadly not darragh, though I'm sure I enjoyed myself a whole lot more than the arsenal XI did today

god hates frogbs (cozen), Sunday, 28 August 2011 19:48 (fourteen years ago)

gibbs? Cmon.

Vermaelen would prob have handled two or three of the goals himself. Vidic's rep survived torres that time.

I like kaboul and dawson, but not as a pair. They're both ok to good as chasers, you'd want a more cerebral type alongside.

swansea's alan tate has broken his leg in what the club has described as a 'bizarre golfing accident'

Richter scale? I hardly even knew 'er! (darraghmac), Sunday, 28 August 2011 19:53 (fourteen years ago)

ffs, they can't tell us it's a "bizarre golfing accident" and not give us the details. I need to know how bizarre. Canizares and the aftershave bizarre?

A little bit like Peter Crouch but with more mobility (ShariVari), Sunday, 28 August 2011 19:59 (fourteen years ago)

foot down a rabbit hole vs golf cart vs seriously poor swing

It is time that they got shot of 'pundits' and employ professional commmentators to comment on matches

SWANSEA star Alan Tate has broken his leg —in a GOLF BUGGY accident.

Tate was a passenger in the cart which crashed in a south Wales course this afternoon.

never have a round of golf with jon parkin

r|t|c, Sunday, 28 August 2011 20:08 (fourteen years ago)

Tate was a passenger in a golf buggy at Gower Golf Club near Swansea this afternoon when the buggy ''lost control'', Swansea said. No other players were involved in the incident.

The 28-year-old former Manchester United trainee had his leg trapped between the buggy and a tree, manager Brendan Rodgers said.

Tate, described as a ''very good golfer'' by Rodgers, was diagnosed with a broken tibia of his left leg after being taken to Morriston Hospital by ambulance.

r|t|c, Sunday, 28 August 2011 20:29 (fourteen years ago)

Why tf am I reliving this?

Upt0eleven, Sunday, 28 August 2011 21:34 (fourteen years ago)

You need to let it out (itt) before you can let it go.

boxall, Sunday, 28 August 2011 21:40 (fourteen years ago)

that's what i thought when i saw yr name at the bottom tbh

Richter scale? I hardly even knew 'er! (darraghmac), Sunday, 28 August 2011 21:40 (fourteen years ago)

My uncle is obliging me to, tbh.

We had a good 15 minute spell at the start of the second half but there wasn't really room for that on motd I suppose.

Upt0eleven, Sunday, 28 August 2011 21:45 (fourteen years ago)

in between the goals i thought spurs looked ok.

Friedel looks very good imo.

Even watching the highlights I want to kill Crouch right now.

Matt DC, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:06 (fourteen years ago)

mancini very right to focus on the goal conceded imo, they'll make hay while the sun shines but there's still a shoddyness there to be exposed somewhere down the line

r|t|c, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:11 (fourteen years ago)

You could do a full goal of the month selection from the Utd and City games alone

Number None, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:13 (fourteen years ago)

yeah my brother wanted to know were there any good utd goals and i was just '.......'

Richter scale? I hardly even knew 'er! (darraghmac), Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:17 (fourteen years ago)

toure returning should offer man city a little of the defensive solidity they've been lacking in recent months, no? unless he's been spending this time fattening up for winter.

Merdeyeux, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:18 (fourteen years ago)

Kolo is another Ramadan observant iirc, nakhchivan said so anyway

boxall, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:19 (fourteen years ago)

don't know that they're lacking it, tbh, don't know that touré is better than in-form lescott

lolled @ 'timeboom' (darraghmac), Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:20 (fourteen years ago)

wouldnt have said so myself

r|t|c, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:22 (fourteen years ago)

sorry to bring it up again but was there any mention of armand traore walking off the pitch smiling and joking with the utd lads? couldn't believe it when i saw that.

r|t|c, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:23 (fourteen years ago)

only thing i remember traore doing all match was giving young his assist, so ey makes sense.

Merdeyeux, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:24 (fourteen years ago)

pardew seems to be morphing into a little old lady

r|t|c, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:24 (fourteen years ago)

armand traoré is awes

diouf est le papa du foot galsen merde lè haters (nakhchivan), Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:25 (fourteen years ago)

Is it true Tony Cascarino used the phrase "Traore is having a Holocaust" today?

Matt DC, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:27 (fourteen years ago)

ya

why is armand traore awes

r|t|c, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:28 (fourteen years ago)

diouf est le papa du foot galsen merde lè haters (nakhchivan), Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:29 (fourteen years ago)

never knew bape did their own pound shop bags

r|t|c, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:34 (fourteen years ago)

This is how Liverpool started last season, after 3-6-9-12 matches: 13th, 16th, 18th, 9th.

Arsenal 17th, ?, ?, ? any guesses.

boxall, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:34 (fourteen years ago)

chill out, they'll finish 5th like they were always going to

r|t|c, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:36 (fourteen years ago)

Got to appreciate if not enjoy the journey as well as the destination, Ismael made a good case for that last season I thought.

boxall, Sunday, 28 August 2011 22:38 (fourteen years ago)

Would still take any bets on them finishing outside the top four
