r|t|c, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:12 (fourteen years ago)

Why is Wigan - QPR an early kick-off?

Chris, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:12 (fourteen years ago)

wigan warriors are in the rugby league challenge cup final at 3

r|t|c, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:13 (fourteen years ago)

Villa Wolves got good , there's suddenly space in the middle and just enough ineptitude in possession to set up constant chances to counter-attack

MPx4A, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:19 (fourteen years ago)

Ivanhoe having a stormer, frankly

MPx4A, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:20 (fourteen years ago)

Delph looks good positionally, but wastes the ball too often. Still made a couple of nice interceptions. Is Rio Coker still there? Or am I 2 years behind the times?

pandemic, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:22 (fourteen years ago)

Reo left on a free and signed for Bolton recently

Delph is rash and wants to run the game and kick people all the time, but has a strange Bambi-with-the-ball-glued-to-his-foot ball retention ability and can beat a man; glad he's getting a run

MPx4A, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:24 (fourteen years ago)

Chris Herd's lung-bursting endeavour has been very gradually trumping his obvious total ineptitude over the course of the match, it's heartwarming

MPx4A, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:36 (fourteen years ago)

OTM

pandemic, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:37 (fourteen years ago)

He's playing centre forward more than Bent is at times

pandemic, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:38 (fourteen years ago)

wigan warriors are in the rugby league challenge cup final at 3

Ahh yes, remember hearing about that yesterday actually.

Chris, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:41 (fourteen years ago)

back to knackered inept shit, anyone getting a second wind will win it

MPx4A, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:43 (fourteen years ago)

attendance 30,076. Villa capacity must be 40,000+ right?

pandemic, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:49 (fourteen years ago)

late doyle winner imo

Richter scale? I hardly even knew 'er! (darraghmac), Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:51 (fourteen years ago)

43. Alex McLeish is our manager.

MPx4A, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:51 (fourteen years ago)

that's a penalty imo

Richter scale? I hardly even knew 'er! (darraghmac), Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:52 (fourteen years ago)

luke young's solid enough right?

r|t|c, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:54 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, good signing

MPx4A, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:55 (fourteen years ago)

di santo's knocked in another classy one, fair enuff really

r|t|c, Saturday, 27 August 2011 12:57 (fourteen years ago)

Bolton Wanderers have stepped in to sign Dedryck Boyata on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

this 'bolton as a finishing club for potential superstars' myth has struck again. trrfc signing imo even if they need one of city's many many strikers more.

gay socialists smoking mushrooms with their illegal gardeners (a hoy hoy), Saturday, 27 August 2011 13:00 (fourteen years ago)

Dunno if there is such a myth. Coyle just seems to be a shrewd negotiator.

Number None, Saturday, 27 August 2011 13:04 (fourteen years ago)

wd've took that point before kick off and def after 60 mins so fair enough. title challenge still on.

see y'all in a week or so.

Frogbs (Pray Like Aretha Franklin) (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 27 August 2011 13:35 (fourteen years ago)

fuck it i forgot i came up with a refinement to my dn in the pub

Frogbs (Pray Like Aretha Franklin (in Whiteface)) (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 27 August 2011 13:42 (fourteen years ago)

i used to have Chris Herd on loan in a FM2010 team btw, swear he played midfield

Frogbs (Pray Like Aretha Franklin (in Whiteface)) (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 27 August 2011 13:43 (fourteen years ago)

attendance 30,076. Villa capacity must be 40,000+ right?

Wonder how much the tickets were. Even so, you'd think they'd be able to fill the stadium for a local derby?

Chris, Saturday, 27 August 2011 14:17 (fourteen years ago)

£20-40. Wolves isn't a "big" game for Villa, they've had three home games in a week and Alex McLeish is their manager. A lot of people probably just didn't renew their season ticket.

MPx4A, Saturday, 27 August 2011 14:20 (fourteen years ago)

I've always found lunchtime games anywhere the easiest to get tickets for fwiw. I've also seen a few biggish games at villa and never had particular problem getting a ticket, so I don't think this is a new thing.

Ismael Klata, Saturday, 27 August 2011 14:21 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, the attendances dropped off when we were still good, I guess money is a pretty big factor

when I still had a season ticket we stopped selling out derbies/ top 4 games in O'Neill's last couple of seasons

MPx4A, Saturday, 27 August 2011 14:23 (fourteen years ago)

hilarios

god hates FAQs (cozen), Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:20 (fourteen years ago)

fuuuuck, drogba just got knocked the fuck out

god hates FAQs (cozen), Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:22 (fourteen years ago)

BBC min by min says he got punched in the head by the Norwich keeper. Is that not a penalty then?

pandemic, Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:26 (fourteen years ago)

he was offside before the punch

out cold before he hit the ground and fell hard

god hates FAQs (cozen), Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:27 (fourteen years ago)

Guardian's MBM is funny, the only updates are from emailing readers b/c Rob Smyth is apparently watching a rugby match and nothing else. ""Ouch!" says Jonny Mac. "Don't know if you saw that but Drogba ..."

Swansea-Sunderland has been OK. Now Cattermole off, Wickham on, should get better.

boxall, Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:29 (fourteen years ago)

That was a horrible landing for Drogba, we (Norwich) let off lightly by the offside call...

CraigG, Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:31 (fourteen years ago)

Norwich have just missed a great chance to talk the lead at Chelsea. It sounds like they have been the better side today.

Quality.

boxall, Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:32 (fourteen years ago)

Park Chu-Young apparently having medical at Arsenal. Plays for Monaco, maybe Jibe can give us the low down. On the plus side he's not a teenager.

― pandemic, Saturday, August 27, 2011 12:05 PM (3 hours ago)

proved a solid backup and impact sub when i took him with me from rangers to man utd in football manager 2006, good signing imo.

http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/oddballs/873689-park-chu-young-on-verge-of-arsenal-transfer-after-going-awol-from-lille

The Monaco striker had agreed terms to join the French champions and the deal had progressed as far as him travelling to Lille on Friday, with a view to completing the move on Saturday.

However, when club officials went to collect the South Korea international from the hotel for his medical, they found the room empty.

if he can bring a few lols like this then that would be appreciated by all too, i'm sure.

Merdeyeux, Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:35 (fourteen years ago)

Slightly biased, but I think Norwich have been the better side. Would be happy to take a point, but there's definitely a possibility of 3. Of course, Chelsea being Chelsea could probably stick one in any moment.

CraigG, Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:36 (fourteen years ago)

fuck Chelsea penalty, more Ruddy dodginess

CraigG, Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:37 (fourteen years ago)

Keeper had to get there

Number None, Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:38 (fourteen years ago)

Ruddy sending off harsh

Gukbe, Saturday, 27 August 2011 15:41 (fourteen years ago)

Fair enough imo
