Gary Numan, or Gary Fletcher (ken c), Tuesday, 23 August 2011 10:53 (fourteen years ago)

If Ferguson isn't going to sell him, what is he going to do with him exactly? He's fifth choice now, assuming Owen getting more games isn't just trolling. PSG must be a done deal, in which case rip my fantasy team's chances.

Ismael Klata, Tuesday, 23 August 2011 11:00 (fourteen years ago)

would like to see him as an eto'o replacement (sneijder bargaining chip?)

gay socialists smoking mushrooms with their illegal gardeners (a hoy hoy), Tuesday, 23 August 2011 11:16 (fourteen years ago)

Nasri has gone to Citeh.

James Mitchell, Tuesday, 23 August 2011 12:41 (fourteen years ago)

good. For arsenal.

James Mitchell, Tuesday, 23 August 2011 12:46 (fourteen years ago)

if city agree to pay half his wages yeah, why not.

It's prob something wenger should look at tbh.

unfinested username clusterfucks i have groaned (darraghmac), Tuesday, 23 August 2011 12:48 (fourteen years ago)

Nasri seems so unnecessary for City.

pandemic, Tuesday, 23 August 2011 12:52 (fourteen years ago)

I didn't realise he cost Arsenal £15.8m, for some reason I thought it was £10m or so.

pandemic, Tuesday, 23 August 2011 12:54 (fourteen years ago)

Nasri seems so unnecessary for City.

ah but just buying all the best players from opponents and then benching them, is a tactic too :)

Ludo, Tuesday, 23 August 2011 13:23 (fourteen years ago)

Nah Nasri will be first choice in that XI - it's Milner/Johnson/Super Mario that will slip down the pecking order.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 23 August 2011 13:25 (fourteen years ago)

UEFA should probably do something about that huh.

unfinested username clusterfucks i have groaned (darraghmac), Tuesday, 23 August 2011 13:25 (fourteen years ago)

The fact that, amid all Man City's ludicrous excesses, a player as limited as Gareth Barry still has a regular starting berth is kind of mind-boggling.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 23 August 2011 13:27 (fourteen years ago)

On pace for 19 goals this season tbf

'Dreaming? I'm not going to dream. I will play here one day, you'll see'

It's beautiful.

Nasri seems so unnecessary for City.

Ah, you Englishes, they've got him so none of their rivals have him, the Old Firm have being doing that since about 1892.

Duncan Disorderly (Tom D.), Tuesday, 23 August 2011 15:22 (fourteen years ago)

JOS, Nigeria, Aug 23 (Reuters) - The kidnappers who abducted Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel's father in Nigeria demanded a ransom of $4 billion, the local police commissioner said on Tuesday.
...
"(The kidnappers) asked him to give them $4 billion which they called chicken change to Mikel Obi and his club Chelsea,"

Will this bubble ever pop?

I know the squad's a little threadbare but this is ridiculous.

James Mitchell, Wednesday, 24 August 2011 10:06 (fourteen years ago)

i cannae be bothered to start a thread for this seasons league cup but surely this:

QPR manager Neil Warnock says he is glad to have been knocked out of the Carling Cup following their 2-0 loss at home to Rochdale.

should mean qpr fans get a refund etc. and is worse than ol' one in the hole or ollie fielding a 'weaker' team last season?

gay socialists smoking mushrooms with their illegal gardeners (a hoy hoy), Wednesday, 24 August 2011 11:14 (fourteen years ago)

Roy Hodgson did the old name forgetting diss last week with "The Carlsberg Cup or whatever it's called - see I can't even remember its name never mind be arsed winning a game in it."

The Vagina Monikers (onimo), Wednesday, 24 August 2011 11:21 (fourteen years ago)

I think QPR fans saw this coming - hence only 4000 of them out last night. The gripes from the fans aren't so much that a second team was put out, but that none of them appeared to give a shit.

Trudi Styler, the Creator (ithappens), Wednesday, 24 August 2011 11:23 (fourteen years ago)

Typical Hughson

Ismael Klata, Wednesday, 24 August 2011 11:24 (fourteen years ago)

neil also said something like "it's not like we're not going to win it are we", before then saying he'll give the fa cup a go cos he likes that one.

not sure you can really single anyone out for not taking the carling cup srsly though. plus there's not the same obligation to cup competitions as there is a league - the obligation is to um, the spirit of football and yknow, winning stuff.

it's difficult cos going out at the same stage last season was a great help to our winning the league, but then when someone comes out and says "birmingham would swap 17th in the prem for that cup now" you just want to kill yourself.

r|t|c, Wednesday, 24 August 2011 11:32 (fourteen years ago)

qpr supposedly talking to barton today according to sky btw

r|t|c, Wednesday, 24 August 2011 11:33 (fourteen years ago)

damn was just starting to like them

gay socialists smoking mushrooms with their illegal gardeners (a hoy hoy), Wednesday, 24 August 2011 11:36 (fourteen years ago)

The Brum one isn't even either-or, they were doing alright in the league at the time they won the Carling Cup, they blew it from February onwards.
