PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 29 October 2004 12:51 (twenty-one years ago)

hm. i'll try to find a picture.

lauren (laurenp), Friday, 29 October 2004 12:52 (twenty-one years ago)

As impractical as the ski boot craze is for me personally, I still want these.

Dale Panopticalis (cprek), Friday, 29 October 2004 12:56 (twenty-one years ago)

actually, i think i want the pucci wellingtons. the snow boots this season have brown/yellow as dominant colors as opposed to pink.

lauren (laurenp), Friday, 29 October 2004 12:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Now surely that would just be showing off! ;-)

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 29 October 2004 12:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I want some colorful yet non-ridiculous Pumas or Adidas; you lot have any suggestions?

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:00 (twenty-one years ago)

i can't help you with Pumas Roxy, but I can with adidas! what exactly are you looking for?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Dale otm, that would allow me to go back to my former gender.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Just something cute and brightly colored that's good for walking long distances (they don't have to be running-friendsly or anything, just comfy). I'm totally open. Adidas is preferable to Puma, anyway. I've been out of the Adidas loop for so long now that I don't even know what's going on anymore.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Any particular colours?

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:09 (twenty-one years ago)

I took my chucks off in protest at how bad a band were last night. I'm a stupid dick sometimes.

cºzen (Cozen), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:14 (twenty-one years ago)

haha, dude!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:14 (twenty-one years ago)

how about these?

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:17 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't really like those myself.

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I pick:

(though I've noticed it's no longer available - LAME)

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Boo!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:44 (twenty-one years ago)

They used to have 'em in pink, which I liked too.

The red/white/purple Adidas you posted upthread would be nice on Rox, maybe.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 29 October 2004 13:51 (twenty-one years ago)

I reeeeally like the first two you posted, Pinx.

Markelby, those are cool but too plain for my needs.

Decades are totally the way to go Roxy. I am desperate for a pair at the moment. You could be my shoe idol!! Those are on the Footlocker.com website so you'd be ok with shipping & what not. I can't order from the US cos I have to pay a fortune in import costs. You have to get some kindly sole to mark them as a 'gift'!!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 29 October 2004 14:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Ken to thread with the quickness.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 29 October 2004 14:13 (twenty-one years ago)

BARMS THAT FIRST ONE IS THE COOLEST SHOE I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 29 October 2004 14:15 (twenty-one years ago)

haha "kindly sole"

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 29 October 2004 14:15 (twenty-one years ago)

ooh hahaha, no pun intended!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 29 October 2004 14:20 (twenty-one years ago)

(hahaha I came onto this thread to make exaclt the same joke that I made a year and two weeks ago)

Rox, I'd honestly wear these (and the first pair), but they ain't made in my size or aimed at guys.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 29 October 2004 14:29 (twenty-one years ago)

If they aren't in your size Barms then fair enough, but fupp all of that aimed at girls lark. Pink is the colour of choice for sneaker conscious guys at the moment I'll have you know!

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 29 October 2004 14:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't really like white + a color, BARMS. I usually like only COLORCOLORCOLOR or white + another neutral. Those are cool, though.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 29 October 2004 14:32 (twenty-one years ago)

have a look at http://www.oki-ni.com/ Roxy, they have some cool shoes in there.

PinXorchiXoR (Pinkpanther), Friday, 29 October 2004 14:34 (twenty-one years ago)

try here too http://slamminkicks.com/ (it's my friend's shop)

Hey, I'm the purple laces fetishist here! That 'gurls' bit should've been bracketed as they're intentionally aimed at people below a size 9 and also not found in the men's footwear section. What I'm trying to say is that that sucks.

(I'm also the dork who recently adopted "We're all metrosexuals here" as a catchphrase)

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 29 October 2004 14:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I like the first one of Barima's too.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 29 October 2004 15:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Just tried these on:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/biondino/flag.bmp

What do you think? I'm undecided.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 29 October 2004 15:18 (twenty-one years ago)

They're slightly too quirky if anything, though they look pretty close to the sort of boot I want to find when I come home. The sticking point is the colour of the suede, which should have been tying the look together, instead of breaking it up and making it look kinda pasted together.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 29 October 2004 15:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Basically, I'd go for them if the suede was the same colour as the leather, or better yet, not there at all.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Friday, 29 October 2004 15:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Hmm, thanks. I'm after a Chelsea boot with something a bit interesting about it, and this does come close. I don't think I love it though, and for £75 I'd really rather I did.

Markelby (Mark C), Friday, 29 October 2004 15:29 (twenty-one years ago)

they're cute, but with trousers covering the top bit all you'd see is that weird toe.

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 29 October 2004 15:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Cowboy boots! 'Tooled'.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Friday, 29 October 2004 15:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Right, so with my semi-sensible sneakers sorted, we can move on to totally unsensible heels and things. How are these:

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 29 October 2004 15:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh sheesh there's also these, and they are on sale!

http://www2.victoriassecret.com/images/prodpri/V230717.jpg

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Friday, 29 October 2004 15:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Are these worth £50? I do need some Wellingtons, but it's hard to find some that aren't either too farmer-y or too fancy.

New Pauls. No longer in my size, but someone else might like 'em? Or, in case I do find them, what d'you think?

Cathy, they're cute but overpirced by at least a tenner. Roxy, the second pair is excellent.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 15:11 (twenty-one years ago)

I love the shape of those, Barms old thing, but they're what you'd wear to a track athlete's funeral.

Cathy, they have cheap-ass versions of those at New Look - go to a big one and have a rummage.

Liz :x (Liz :x), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 15:26 (twenty-one years ago)

hey Pink, you say that's your friends place? I'm so there for a pair of Nike URLs - absolutely gorgeous but never really took off in the states, I found a load of size nines but no others in an outlet store and never thought I'd see any!

Porkpie (porkpie), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 15:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Thx, Liz, shape is good, but that colour is pretty unflattering. I gotta say, the current Paul S collections are disappointing overall.

B.A.R.M.S. (Barima), Wednesday, 3 November 2004 16:17 (twenty-one years ago)
