anyway today was spent a.) writing, b.) getting rained on, c.) cleaning my filthy shitbox car (finally), and d.) doing about four loads of laundry, so tonight i plan to spend sitting on my fat ass doing fuck-all.

having a headache...later, spare ribs for dinner then watching Conan The Barbarian, hearing the lamentations of the women etc

• Worrying about the 22-month-old napping so late, but it's nice to have a little time to sit here in the office.

• Writing angry emails to Kroger.

• About to open my first beer of the night. Might go wake the boy up afterward.

Driving back to Petersburg from Indianapolis with My Guy and a rewarding stack of vinyl in the back seat.

Ummm make that sitting at a Starbucks waiting out a storm outside of Indianapolis.

the ID3 tag was messed up for one of the tracks on the mute compilation. the song ("cloud chamber") is by a swedish indiepop band named easy, but the artist was tagged as eazy-e!

Ate a bunch of crabs. Watched some Breaking Bad. Bedtime now.

went to best buy to get our replacement tv for the one they are junking out. thought we were going to pay $100 difference (approved replacement tv was of lower value than the one we wanted) but somehow the manager just decided to give it to us (yay). then they couldn't figure out how to set it all up in the system. 3+ hours later we left with the promise that they'll call tomorrow to square everything away.

My Saturday night is so boring, it doesn't even exist! Went to beach, came home, thought, "I'll just close my eyes for a little bit...."

Woke up 6 hours later.

All four of us sat around the TV and watched a movie together. I think it was the first time we did that.

Kids kinda got a little bugged out during the first part of "The Day After", but settled down once the hospital scenes were on.

worked until almost midnight, just got home, ate two slices of old cold pizza, going to bed so i can get up at 6 and do it all over again tomorrow.

Reading the new answers on ILX in bed and becoming increasingly more drowsy but fighting it....fighting it....I must stay awake to upload my photos of our outing this afternoon to flickr... and for some reason it cannot wait until tomorrow.

took a nap even though i slept really really late today, perversely avoided making plans w/someone, watched the spanish prisoner, took 5 hours to finish one beer, rapidly alternating between stewing in my own juices and the opposite of that mode

Packed most of my kitchen and bathroom. Drank a bottle of white wine. Joined OkCupid in an Hurricane-Irene induced moment of boredom.

baked a blueberry pie for dinner with inlaws tomorrow night, drinking coffee, thinking abt watching 13 Assassins

About to go to sleep for a bit until Irene presumably wakes me up, already engaged in my own manly self-pity based ranting this morning before bringing in patio furniture et al

Watched Doctor Who, then totally solid Statham/Considine cop drama Blitz, now finishing up The Hour. Got some Sam Adams. And cigarettes when I want to brave the wind.
