Chicago: Totally hands-free!!!

Very sensible for winter walking! I'm trying to find boots I love, too, and have only come up with these:

There was an incredibly hot woman at the place I got lunch today wearing similar boots. I don't know how comfortable it was for her but it looked fucking awesome.

Also what I really want is these, but they're pull-on only and I will never get my ankles into them if past experience can be trusted:

i don't dig patent leather. it is beautiful, i was just out in the backyard with the doggies and it was great (except for me sitting in the collected rainwater in the lawn chair). if the next door neighbor hadn't let out their dog we'd have stayed out longer but the boys started barking and barking and history says they wouldn't have stopped. i have to write a cover letter for a job at one of the city colleges then i think i'm going to ride my bike. destination.... UNKOWN!

being 18 in. shorter than you, i guess i could wear those but i already have heeled boots that i never wear. and bunions.

one at harold washington (the one i hope to get) and one at truman which i'd take as beggars can't be choosers but i'd prefer the one in the loop that's 9 to 5 and doesn't require weekends.

Bunions aren't a problem I have, but those boots would be no picnic to stand in for a long time, either. I have plenty of heels I love but that are too high to go to shows in, so if that's your goal, well...scale it down, I think.

I was just browsing piperl1me. I decided it blows. Every shoe I'd pull up was only available in 3 or so sizes. "YESs... Let's see.. Ok, would you like a size 4, 6, or 6.5??"

Are they out of stock ALREADY?? Bummer. 6.5 is way too small for me, even, so that's not even realistic.

enh, this girl is nice enough, but i think she's the sort of person who would never really be able to get along with my friends. she's like, a vegan and a bike activist, and all my friends are layabout smokers and carnivores who own cars.
