My commute this morning was delightful.

I went for a run last night and while I thought I would expire, it was not directly b/c of the heat, only I atrophied over the last month's heat wave.

Break in the heat seems to have totally caught local forecasters by surprise! NOAA's forecast for today was 97, but it never hit 90 here. Took the dog out for a whiz at high noon and it was actually pleasant outside.

High of 74 forecast here tomorrow! It hit 111 a coupla times in the last two weeks. I'll take this!

I hate the heat, but it doesn't feel like summer if it's not hot enough to want to cool down by swimming, eating ice cream or going to the movies, and 80 is my ideal "hot" weather.

It's going to be hotter than hell here today - 95 and way humid. It was hot yesterday too, but this weekend is looking milder.

This is not the hottest it's been this summer, but it feels worse because August was really mild and often lovely and now it's September and this is just perverse.

I am going to miss summer and I hope there are a couple more disgustingly hot weekend days so I can go swimming.

I do love swimming still, and I've been to the beach quite a bit already this year.

94 in Toronto today. Inside my classroom, with the lights off and fan going (no a/c), it wasn't bad. I had one class out in a portable and it was brutal.

81°F and muggy (at 8:30 am) but the A/C is cool and dry on this bus. But then some clown opens two windows and it's swampy again. Good job, clown! You curbed our hubris at overcoming nature.

Left on my bike for work at 5:55am today. It was 78 degrees already. Yesterday it was so hot, I finally gave in and lugged our window A/C unit down from the attic at 9:30 last night. I could not face sleeping when it was still 85 degrees with humidity in the 60-70% range.

I don't know what happened, but I actually did not really feel it while walking to the train and stuff this morning. Also last night I was outside at midnight and again at 3am and if it were possible to sleep outside under a fan it would really have been very pleasant.

I slept inside in the AC instead, don't get me wrong. But it was kind of nice out actually.

I bought running shoes at Sears and then had a 25-minute walk home at 8:30pm. It was not pleasant.

Call me a goth but I love the nighttime in the summer. It's warm, but the sun isn't blasting down cruelly.

This was a terrible day to work from home

You know what you should do, Dan? Install the air conditioner!!!
