I was in a wedding in 03 or so in August, highs in upper 90s, bridesmaids in long black dresses, and we were all supposed to get ready at a friend's not air-conditioned house. Also the rehearsal dinner was outside. The couple divorced three months later, probably under the weight of all the curses heaped upon them by their bridal party.

It's been horrid for a week out here in the unpleasant plains, but we're used to ac all the time from June to September. I've been taking long walks at 7am each day & it feels like the whole town is out, in preparation for hiding again all day.

cannot believe how nauseous I get in this weather

yesterday my company had their annual summer picnic outside, on the island, on THE HOTTEST JULY DAY IN TORONTO'S HISTORY! it actually wasn't *too* bad. we drank alot and did some activities, but had the shade of the trees most of the time.
also: water balloon fights help cool you down (a bit)!

tbf the island is like ten degrees cooler than the city

3. I trained for my first 5K outdoors in July in New Orleans and then ran it in early August. It was a hot and sweaty time for me, and if you know me at all, you will wonder like I do how the hell I did it, and why.

No air conditioning in my office on Wednesday or Thursday last week. It got repaired about 4:30 Thursday afternoon, which was a good thing 'cause I just started that job a couple of weeks ago and a killing spree would have looked bad on my three-month evaluation.

The 15-block walk from the train station to the office at 9AM (repeated in reverse at 6PM, obviously) was a real picnic, too.

Bustelo is like palm trees and sands in Miami.

What I meant was, is it preferable to other instant coffee like Maxwell house or whatever? Talking only for the purposes of iced coffee. Regular ground Bustelo is widely available here, but idk about instant.
