it was too heavy and had no wheels underneath it or anything. he wasn't even riding the bike, he was just astride it, periodically yanking on the power cord, dragging it down the street. didn't seem like a good plan

Am in Hershey, Pennsylvania on work trip. Currently 100 degrees F with 30% humidity. The a/c at the motel is too weak to compensate.

you can go swim in the chocolate river, though.

Here in Seattle it has been over 80 degrees for 78 minutes this summer.

It really is amazing how much of a difference the humidity makes. Being in Durango with 95 degrees and 10% humidity felt a lot easier to deal with than 95 degrees and 50% or 60% humidity.

I was at Chocolate World today, in fact! They're air-conditioning systems are robust enough to keep the immense selection of their products in the gift shop/mall from becoming bags of milk brown slurry.

Also, spotted: a tubby little white girl who pointed and screeched in happiness like a mood-inverted character from the 70s Body Snatchers flick when she glimpsed sight of the official Hershey Reeses NASCAR auto parked over in the corner.

i really feel like a slug having spent the whole day inside, sitting on my ass, and feel like i should go for at least a walk or something, but there are limits even to my guilt.

Jesus. Even my most exercise-obsessed friend got on facebook at like 6:30 this morning stating that she was going to take a run but then, no.

i was really shocked! i'd gone out to the store to get some things and was unloading the car and she walked by and we said our various hellos and then i realized she was in jogging gear and yeah there she goes running down the sidewalk. i felt like shouting PLEASE DONT DIE, YOU SEEM NICE.

I just completed a standard allotment of mid-week household chores (trash, dishes, sweeping the kitchen, changing the cat litter, etc.) and I have to take a shower now.

I've been leaving the a/c on for the cat during the day, which I feel awful about, but I'd feel more awful if I didn't do it. (I set it at 85 fyi)
