there's a plaque on the 18th fairway where Weiskopf hit his 2 iron to win the tournament (US Open?)

also, there's a little Bobby Jones museum there- pretty cool

apparently the members have to volunteer for this event- my bro in law will be holding up a "quiet" sign on the 17th tee tomorrow

i played over christmas time- the rough was nothing as the grass was in hibernation at the time

I played a course once -- Fall River Valley? can't remember -- that had a 650-yd par 5...the tee shot was off a cliff, basically. The cart ride down to the fairway was a lot more intimidating than the shot.
