staying in cuz fuck this weather. it was 97 degrees today; you'd think it was july or something.

dinner: turkey sandwiches and some vietnamese-ish carrot salad i whipped up (white rice vinegar, sugar, sambal).

i have the in-laws from netflix.

I'm going to make candied lime peel -- and obviously a shitload of hard and soft drinks, but the main thing with the limes is candied peel. I love my candied grapefruit peel and want to try it out on lime.

i made a whole heap of candied orange peel earlier in the year. they were great by themselves, even better baked into cookies.

now a. and i are giggling over something we heard last night -- a track from one of those nigerian dance/funk compilations where the chorus sounded like "that's a waffle." so basically we're just singing "that's a waffle" to each other.

limes were 10 for a dollar at the produce store today but I just don't go through a lot of limes

Gardening and dinner and shopping with friends, chilling at home. Tomorrow = nothing (Sunday/Monday = get-togethers/parties). Perfect.
