haha the only reason i read the books is because when they were promoting the show i was like 'hmm im probably gonna watch this, i guess i'll read it just so nobody can spoiler me on it'

yeah i basically read them cause i saw the first six episodes early and didnt want to have to wait six weeks to find out what happened next

btw, kinda lol that "butt" is part of the vernacular in the books ("Nearly a man grown, he yet slipped and fell on his butt").

He compensates by describing things as a "mummer's farce" on the regular; guy must be a total downer at ren fairs

"he walked like he had a dagger up his butt" was the point where I considered just skipping to book 2 to find out about deaths

A song of ice and fire more like a description of beards and armour

ha yeah one definitely doesn't read these books for the prose

I'll come back to this map once I've made it deeper into the books. 2/3 into GoT is the most fun I've had w/ a book in ages. Then again, I haven't read anything like this in a long time.

Apparently he's given the showrunners his notes and outlines for how the book series will end, in case something happens to him or he doesn't finish in time. Not that it matters, as I'd be shocked if the series ran for seven years.
