Crispin Glover last Friday night, on the other side of the glass from me at the WFMU studios during their fundraiser. He wore his usual vintage suit and was polite and well-spoken.

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Tuesday, 15 March 2005 16:09 (twenty-one years ago)

John Turturro, on Flatbush near the Plaza in Brooklyn. He's one tall dude.

I once walked past Hristo Stoichkov on a quiet Sunday afternoon in Meguro-ku during the mercurial Bulgarian brief spell in the J-League. He was accompanied by a very Balkan-looking friend-cum-bodyguard bloke.

darren (darren), Sunday, 20 March 2005 18:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Noel Edmonds, ExCel

Sven Bastard (blueski), Sunday, 20 March 2005 22:20 (twenty-one years ago)

I just saw the King Adrock in front of me at the line in the Italian sandwich place in Soho that was perhaps once known as the sandwich nazi. His friend was going to pay for his own sandwich, but then Mr. Horovitz said "No, no, no. You come to me, you come to me."

Ken L (Ken L), Thursday, 31 March 2005 18:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I think I should allow myself to post more on this thread. I walked right by Famke again yesterday. I still have no balls.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 31 March 2005 18:16 (twenty-one years ago)

You should show her that photo of you in the blonde wig, Spencer. No woman could resist that.

Ken L (Ken L), Thursday, 31 March 2005 18:57 (twenty-one years ago)

That bloke from Eastenders, possibly called Minty, who used to be an extra who was one of Phil Mitchell's hard nut mates and then worked his way up to a speaking role as the unrequited lover of Sam Mitchell and now may or may not be in it any more (I gave up watching it about a year ago). He moved into the flat directly across the street from my flat a few weeks ago.
-- The Horse of Babylon (jamiefak...), February 22nd, 2005 10:36 PM.

Now Phil Mitchell has turned up at Minty's flat and helped him put in a massive plasma screen TV. Are they mates in real life or is Eastenders being filmed in my street? Is Barbara Windsor going to turn up in a minute???

The Horse of Babylon (the pirate king), Sunday, 3 April 2005 15:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Paul Shaffer on 52nd Street (with a guy who was "a suit") walking toward the Letterman theater. With the shaved head he looks a lot like Gollum. I wasn't fast enough to sing "It's Raining Men" or yell "Kick my ass!"

Dr Morbius (Dr Morbius), Thursday, 7 April 2005 15:54 (twenty-one years ago)

last night, in the 14th Street A/C stop, Leonard Maltin, movie critic.

week and a half ago it was MCA (at a rock show - man he's short) and Mike D in the subway within 24 hours.

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 7 April 2005 20:32 (twenty-one years ago)

I saw Robbie Williams sitting at a cafe in Beverly Hills yesterday. Wasn't sure it was him, big sunglasses, very short hair, etc...Then I heard him say loudly into his cell phone, with inimicable English accent,"Was it in Nigel Dempster's column? Well, yeah, he's a fackin' cunt!" That cinched it for me.

Stalker, Thursday, 7 April 2005 20:57 (twenty-one years ago)

But he's northern, he wouldn't say 'fackin cunt#, he'd say 'fookin coont'. Maybe it was Michael Cane.

The Horse of Babylon's Butler (the pirate king), Thursday, 7 April 2005 21:01 (twenty-one years ago)

It's me that can't do the accent.

Stalker, Thursday, 7 April 2005 21:07 (twenty-one years ago)

I suppose it could have been Michael Caine great great great great grandson! no...pretty sure it was Robbie.

Stalker, Thursday, 7 April 2005 21:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Carlos D from Interpol in an indie-orientated bar/club in Deblin last night. I'd just see the band play a gig mind you so that might not count. I said hello but he wasn't very talkative. I left him alone.

Crackity (Crackity Jones), Thursday, 7 April 2005 21:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Did he have herpes?

Oh and Sue of Mel and Sue right outside my front door. Told you they were crap.

bnw (bnw), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 01:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Apparently Jill Hennessy of Law and Order and Crossing Jordan fame is the twin sister of Jacqueline Hennessy, who works at the same TV station I am currently working at. They were both in the hallway outside my Les Nessman-style office today, laughing and dancing with their young children.

Later, I saw a red winged blackbird.

Sean Carruthers (SeanC), Tuesday, 12 April 2005 02:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Apparently Jill Hennessy of Law and Order and Crossing Jordan fame is the twin sister of Jacqueline Hennessy

They were both in Dead Ringers, I think.

Charles Kennedy (leader of the Liberal Democrats) getting out of a posh BMW at Charing Cross station this morning, with a couple of aides. As he headed towards the station, one of them gave him a friendly "go get'em tiger" pat on the shoulder.

I love Charles Kennedy.

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 18 April 2005 12:30 (twenty-one years ago)

David "Doll" Johansen in NYC's Riverside Park yesterday afternoon. A tottering stick figure in shades & basic black, he looked like a glam vampire reluctantly venturing forth into the harsh light of day.

m coleman (lovebug starski), Monday, 18 April 2005 12:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 18 April 2005 13:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, new cover stars of the Wire and all that. You'd have thought they'd be hanging out on Derek Bailey's yacht already.

NickB (NickB), Monday, 18 April 2005 13:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Andre 3000 came into my day job about a month ago to buy an updater for some music software. Had one of those "wait, that guy looks exactly like..." moments until he spoke, at which point I realized "Oh, that Is him".
Nice guy, very soft spoken, and he was wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs toque!

Tantrum The Cat (Tantrum The Cat), Monday, 18 April 2005 14:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Anna, I saw Jason Donovan this morning, in a spookily quiet Charing Cross station. He was giving an autograph to a policewoman. He looked happy and healthy.

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 21 April 2005 09:28 (twenty-one years ago)

I saw Margot Kidder last year in the queue leading into Fahrenheit 9/11.

(shouldn't she be on honeymoon?)

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 25 April 2005 10:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Virginia Madsen, at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago last Tuesday. She was milling about in the crowd after seeing some female solo act, while I set up for a variety show I was hosting afterwards.
