My little brother helps run a comedy club in London, and he has met le Brand and says he is lovely, and that telly people like him because he is totally professional. If you shout in his earpiece that he needs to make shit up for the next two minutes, he'll do it. It seems like a strange skill in the real world, but is highly prized in tellyland.

what i like most about him is that although he's very quick, especially in the audience opinion sections of the show, he's never snide towards the audience members. also he always tries to deflate any particularly vitriolic opinion in a surprisingly claming way. Multiple friends have texted me that they have had to stop listening to a podcast that details Brand's rise to cultural prominence because he was so awful they couldn't bear it. Of course I listened to both episodes and concluded that someone should have stopped this guy when he had mice in his hair. Unfortunately he persists.
