Hahah the Whitehall Vikings had the exact same mascot/logo but in West Michigan. Is there only one set of HS logos in the WORLD, like one wildcat, one anchor, one viking, one...whatever. I know that it's the same everywhere, I KNOW it, and yet whenever I see that damn viking, I get a little shock of recognition.

there was a rural HS near me built near a freeway called, sadly, "I-35 High School". their mascot is the Roadrunners. it's even in a town, technically!

just as long as they use jonathan richman as their fight song.

the university of hawaii teams used to be called THE RAINBOW WARRIORS and sort of still are, but they replaced the rainbow with a stylized H ft. hawaiian iconography and allowed each sport to choose their own name and there was this huge complicated fight over it between 1) the university, 2) hawaiian activists opposing the use of the iconography and 3) football players who had been complaining for years about being called the rainbow warriors
