tbf I didn't think this sitcom was hilarious until I forced myself to sit through maybe 12 episodes

i like the show but i don't get "laugh out loud funny" from it -- it's like oh tee hee how cute/clever more often than not imo

omg cliffhanger!! So much going on at the end.

One thing I really noticed this week (but have been dimly aware of for a whole) is that the show will deliver a simple gag with a simple punchline and then Andy will react in a way that magnifies it tenfold. He is so so great.

THIS is a perfect example of them maximising the comic potential of a character. How do you make Ron unhappy? Take away his hidey hole and force him to be accountable to everyone. I know I keep using words like "brilliant" but seriously.

"Order stocks! Buy buy buy!" messsed up that quote but Administrative Assistant Andy is fantastic.

"REMIND... TOM... ASK... SOMETHING"

AA otm; Andy was in top form in those episodes

Great little touch: using "Wild Horses" & "A Horse With No Name" (plus Andy's song) as source music during the reception.

i liked ron's breakdown for chris of everyone's role in the office. he does that sort of thing a lot, where two characters will have a silly conflict that they're incapable of resolving, so he'll intercede and resolve it for them.

Not to dampen folks's enthusiasm, but I was under the impression that the creation of Entertainment 720 marked Tom Haverford's exit from the show.

There's no news about him leaving the show...

Semi-spoiler... - Entertainment 720 is going to be a big arc early next season, according to Michael Schur.

That's cool, definitely wouldn't want him to leave as he's one of my favorite characters.

kinda feel like Tom/Jean-Ralphio are gradually tipping toward Entourage levels of "wait am i watching a knowing satire of douchebags or am i just watching douchebags?"

my sister feels that way about tom but i just love aziz ansari's big round face and shoutiness to really find him douchey.
