It doesn't taste anything like cream soda!! It tastes like Vanilla Coke!

I've been a big fan of Cherry Coke, even when it had that weird label.

I've yet to try Vanilla Coke, but will have one today at lunch.

Vanilla Coke and Gentleman Jack is as good as drinking gets. I can't drink VC by itself--it seems too decadent, like mainlining maple syrup. Somehow the addition of quasi-high-quality whisky makes it acceptable. Speaking of which, how come Gentleman Jack gets no love? Why isn't it name-checked in hip-hop songs? It's great!

You should have started this thread earlier! I had 23 review bottles of Vanilla Coke in my house for months that I was at pains to get rid of. I hate to express a controversial opinion, but I thought it was nasty as hell. I am as pro-Madagascar as the next fellow, and I love the old fountain vanilla and cherry Cokes, but Lord. I think that was the only time in history I haven't finished a beverage. I even finished my sample can of Diet Coke With Lemon Pledge.

Consider Coke with vanilla vodka as a better alternative to Vanilla Coke with vodka.

(Jody, where are you looking? The diet version is all over NYC.)

I have a lot more to say on this topic but other matters press.

I know, but not in 2-liter bottles (which are significantly cheaper than six-packs). I've had the can and the 20-oz. bottle.

Funny this is coming up today, as a co-worker brought in cans of diet Vanilla Coke for us to try. I was surprised to find I liked it, especially as I HATED Vanilla Coke regular - too sickeningly sweet. Still, cherry is the only flavor Coke's gotten 100% right so far.

Vanilla Coke=yum. One thing about sodas is that the better the water is in the region that they were bottled in, the better they are. I still can't get over how good the Cokes in North Carolina tasted. (Lots of iron in water=double yum.)

I couldn't even taste the coke in coke with lemon, the lemon just took over completely and it was really bad. Vanilla coke is just too sweet. I liked the first bottle I had but got sick of it quickly. I just wish they would bring cherry coke back to NZ I miss it so much.
