As suggested by Mr. Hardy, greens with a sriracha/red wine vinegar sauce, mixed with brown rice and black beans, topped with a bit of parmesan. A frankenstein but a good one. Plus some rosemary bread, white wine and a pear, kiwi fruit and a bit of chocolate.

Tonight's dinner was fine and all -- gorgonzola ravioli with a anise cream sauce, with sautéd brussel sprouts and a bottle of cheap red wine -- but the real news is that I have discovered a means of transmuting the immaterial aether, the quintessence itself, into a substance that can be consumed and enjoyed. I have candied bacon.

It is hard to describe how wonderful and unhealthy it feels, slices bending over my teeth, fat and sugar crackling as waves of knowing crash over my every nerve. Meat eaters, this is what you imagined for yourself as a child; vegetarians, if you're going to start eating pork, this is how.
