I want to know how the "world" is gonna "end" exactly. Whole planet splodes? We all become zombies? Internet becomes sentient?

The end is clearly going to follow the date line and respect the time zones.

I looked at some survivalist/apocalypse-is-nigh usenet stuff in January 2001 or maybe it was early blogs I don't remember, people were coming in to go DON'T YOU FEEL LIKE A BUNCH OF DUMBASSES NOW and there was something sad & moving about how these guys just weren't about to say "yeah I feel a little dumb." They were very, look, I was ready in case something had happened, that's what matters, I feel proud that I was prepared to provide for myself & my family etc etc etc

My guess - We'll hear a trumpet and an irresistable call to "come on up" and whoosh we are excellerating heavenward. We will know exactly what is happening. It will seem like the most natural thing (as in not shocking that it is happening) thing. I suspect your thought will be, "I'm going home!"
