I listened to some of this last night and it was rad, but then I realised Songbird had put the tracks in the wrong order (not a tags problem, I had somehow clicked on "please play my tracks in alphabetical order of artist") and I wanted to hear it in the right order so I'm saving it for tonight.

Wish I could listen at work but I think the amount of roffling might be inappropriate to the office environment.

I like it a lot! It was the first thing I dl'ed when our power came back on. I'm going to give it a couple more listens before I list favorites.

the wages of sin is about tree fiddy (WmC), Saturday, 30 April 2011 19:55 (fifteen years ago)

I think it's great the way that we've all landed on this weirdness/drones/acoustic/synth noises vibe.

got a whole lotta gloves (snoball), Saturday, 30 April 2011 20:10 (fifteen years ago)

<3 <3 <3 the drones, the wobbly oscillations, the guitar distortion, the fake-out "earnest" acoustic ballads that are really funny

Damn! Absolutely typical that this came out when I was in Cornwall with minimal interweb. (no internet receipt down tinmines.) Downloading now, and can't wait to hear it! Sounds like it's a barrel of weird. In the best possible way.

the crap gig in the sky (MaresNest), Tuesday, 3 May 2011 20:55 (fifteen years ago)

Bumpin' this beautiful barrel of weird!

The opener is hauntologically unsettling. I love The Gospel of Ken C (the organ wins it, mahn!). Karen D's 'Mining Song' made me think of Dirty Projectors (hope that's no insult to you, I for one love it). Snoball's is so much fun to listen to (*toot toot*), Edward III's <3 <3 <3 lovely Miami-vibe, love the piano too. Bernard Snowy's naked and ace rendition would make me a believer, Get Bent & Crüt's darkness is great, as is Mark G's slow jam. I love it all, basically.

This has just turned out a fantastic record, y'all!

Oh wow, didn't know it was a sample! Very nice!

I sampled/cut up a smash number one hit from 1999 for my strings at the middle/end of the song. Lifelong kudos if you guess which song!
