I've always thought his eyes are his best feature

I like that he has evil eyes. I get uncomfortable when Utd have players I actually like. Park Ji Sung and Hernandez are two too many.Oh God Merson and Allardyce in the studio.xp

Rooney looks like Michael Stipe in that picture IMO.

If we lose, Utd can win the league at the Emirates.
See? Arsenal are bringing trophies home.

If we lose, Utd can win the league at the Emirates
Only if Chelsea are somehow wiped out of existence.

hadn't seen arry's comments, but he's underperformed in the league this year and shouldn't be complaining if fans are unhappy.
there's hardly a groundswell of support for sacking him, so he's probably just having a grumble.
every manager between fergie and dalglish could prob be sacked in the summer without having too much complaint imo tho.
― i've got blingees on my fisters (darraghmac), Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:04 (fifteen years ago)
Lee is awesome. If Spurs sell Bale or Modric, he'd be a perfect cheap replacement.

"that is about as bad a penalty you'll ever see"
this is a commentator pet peeve. I've seen plenty, hundreds maybe, of penalties that have gone wide or over the bar or high and wide (not to mention the Thierry/Pires thing) - one that is at least on target is nowhere near as bad a penalty as i'll ever see.
Beautiful goal imo.

RvP sets a Premier League scoring record? This is truly the best league in the world.
― James Mitchell, Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:09 (fifteen years ago)
what record?
― popular gay automobile (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:10 (fifteen years ago)
consecutive away goals
― Number None, Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:11 (fifteen years ago)
Scoring in seven consecutive away games.
― James Mitchell, Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:11 (fifteen years ago)
i can't wait till he has one season injury-free. one day.
― popular gay automobile (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:12 (fifteen years ago)
if messi and ronaldo simultaneously break their legs in that same season he'd be the best player in the world.
― popular gay automobile (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:13 (fifteen years ago)
I find RVP playing in 7 consecutive away games more surprising than actually scoring in them tbh
― what?...it's a penalty...piss off (pandemic), Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:14 (fifteen years ago)
I think RvP making eight starts in a row is also some kind of record.

Giving away non existant penalties aside Djourou, along with BAE, would win the award for most improved player of the season for me. Of course this award is more a mix of player I haven't noticed 'cos they don't play for LFC and player I mistakenly wrote off as crap who turns out not to be now that I'm paying attention.
― what?...it's a penalty...piss off (pandemic), Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:26 (fifteen years ago)
I guess Sturridge too, although that's more because he was never given the chance to actually play before this season
― what?...it's a penalty...piss off (pandemic), Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:29 (fifteen years ago)
Nasri should have scored there.
― EZ Snappin, Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:29 (fifteen years ago)
Needed a little more finesse there
Every other year Bobby Z's the most improved player, breaking his leg this year is just him resetting the clock.
― Ismael Klata, Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:30 (fifteen years ago)
Arshavin coming on to give the side some urgency.

Johan played 1 game last season due to injury. He wasn't crap - he just wasn't able to play.
― popular gay automobile (a hoy hoy), Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:32 (fifteen years ago)
thing is, re BAE, that even though he's improved brilliantly on the ball, tracking and defending, he's still liable to drop us right in say every 120 mins.
Even the frequency of his disasters has dropped though, to be fair to him.
― i've got blingees on my fisters (darraghmac), Sunday, 24 April 2011 16:33 (fifteen years ago)
with djourou I was thinking about all the games previous to this season tbh. He was young though tbf to him.
