What a day!

Lucas Leiva player of the season without a doubt. To put in performances like this with half the fans on his back and a bunch of ex-players blaming every poor result on him is remarkable. Great to see him finally getting the recognition he deserves. Such an intelligent player, great reader of the game, makes some ridiculous interceptions, great tackler, hardly ever gives the ball away, team player, great attitude, top guy. Absolutely love him.

It would've made for a grand end to this season I reckon.

I don't know how much revenue the Europa Lge brings in. Obviously I want us to finish as well as possible to give the players confidence etc but I'd just as soon start next season with everything geared towards one league match every week with no European shenanigans in between.

On Football Weekly this week they say Spurs made five million in Europe last season and 36 million this season.

Must admit I thought Redknapp's sarcy comments on MOTD last night were a tad Hodgson-esque.

I was thinking that watching MOTD last night. He really doesn't think the Spurs fans(board?) are anything like grateful enough for all his achievements. Seems to feel v underappreciated.

Football fans in grumbling when the team keeps dropping annoying points shocker.

It's also worth bearing in mind that Spurs fans acutely fear that failing to qualify -> best players get sold -> another slide into mediocrity. Can't say I disagree with them.

Going back to the Spurs/Redknapp thing I guess if you're being harsh you could say Harry has done one place better than Jol, and he got sacked when he regressed from there. Harry seems to act like he should be bullet proof.

How many games has Feo missed this year? He's looked v good last few games I've seen given that I'd kinda forgotten about him.

He looked v. good for the first half of the season too, and then was out from December to early March.

If you combined Bolton w/ Utd, you'd have a beast of a team.

Feo's made 16 PL starts and eight sub appearances so far this season. His biggest season yet.

Feo has really improved the last couple of years I think, especially as he's missed quite a bit of time. I would have expected him to regress a bit given he was out for 3 months as you say, instead he's picked up where he left off.

I think you'll find Rooney is an attacking midfielder/right back

hadn't seen arry's comments, but he's underperformed in the league this year and shouldn't be complaining if fans are unhappy.

there's hardly a groundswell of support for sacking him, so he's probably just having a grumble.

every manager between fergie and dalglish could prob be sacked in the summer without having too much complaint imo tho.

Lee is awesome. If Spurs sell Bale or Modric, he'd be a perfect cheap replacement.
