V pleased to see Kevin Corrigan

Trip Maker, Friday, 15 April 2011 16:24 (fifteen years ago)

yes, i love when they reuse older characters. also, the first guy jeff finds who is shot by a paintball in Modern Warfare / the guy who brings Pierce the adnd books in Dungeons + Dragons episodes was also in the theater group with Britta + Troy this episode.

MY EMOTIONS! MY EMOTIONS!

Ramen Noodles & Ketchup (R Baez), Friday, 15 April 2011 16:36 (fifteen years ago)

Kevin Corrigan is so great. And that speech at the end about "Because we're not writers" was lololol

Also Abed's "There's a path that's taken and a path untaken. The choice is up to you my friend" made me lololol. Mr Veg thought I was lame for knowing the Whos The Boss theme song but I consider it a point of pride lol

Garrett! He rules! He was also on Troy 'n' Abed In The Morning, doing the weather: "IT'S STILL SUNNY."

Funky Mustard (People It's Bad) (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Friday, 15 April 2011 17:13 (fifteen years ago)

Who's The Boss theme has been in my head ever since Abed quoted it.

Trip Maker, Friday, 15 April 2011 19:23 (fifteen years ago)

Your interpretation is correct, though. I'm surprised anyone is claiming otherwise.

OTM.

i was absolutely dying at this, had to rewind and watch again, etc.

some dude, Tuesday, 19 April 2011 13:20 (fifteen years ago)

I love the idea of a clip show which features newly made clips.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 22 April 2011 00:07 (fifteen years ago)

that was really pretty amazing. i want to watch it again right now.

scott seward, Friday, 22 April 2011 00:35 (fifteen years ago)

oh man henry rollins on the paul reiser show.

scott seward, Friday, 22 April 2011 00:36 (fifteen years ago)

"tell henry, try getting a sense of humor."

hahaha!

scott seward, Friday, 22 April 2011 00:40 (fifteen years ago)

The thing where they were all coming in from the lake and Troy said something like "Blame me if you want, but rafts are supposed to go faster if you pop them in the back" KILLED ME.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 22 April 2011 01:12 (fifteen years ago)

was listening to the season 1 dvd commentaries and they were talking about all the ridiculous slow motion Jeff/Annie youtube tributes, loved how they parodied that

some dude, Friday, 22 April 2011 01:14 (fifteen years ago)

the whole thing was very inspired.

scott seward, Friday, 22 April 2011 01:18 (fifteen years ago)

concept of a spoof of a clip show = best idea ever.

Neanderthal, Friday, 22 April 2011 01:52 (fifteen years ago)

"A leprechaun took our clothes"!

Neanderthal, Friday, 22 April 2011 01:53 (fifteen years ago)

the cleverer this show gets the less I laugh

Simon H. Shit (Simon H.), Friday, 22 April 2011 02:33 (fifteen years ago)

imo this episode was one of the easiest to laugh at because the laughs were frequent and simple

Neanderthal, Friday, 22 April 2011 02:36 (fifteen years ago)

seriously. that speech near the end blew me away.

got electrolytes (The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall), Friday, 22 April 2011 05:04 (fifteen years ago)

The Dean Pelton costume montage was fucking brilliant. As was every other aspect of this unfuckwithable episode.

Funky Mustard (People It's Bad) (Tarfumes The Escape Goat), Friday, 22 April 2011 05:21 (fifteen years ago)

counterpoint: that episode sucked.

the girl from spirea x (f. hazel), Friday, 22 April 2011 05:24 (fifteen years ago)

OK, that was harsh, but man that was grating. chang used to be funny, and the plot of this episode seemed to draw attention to all the ways the show doesn't make me laugh. britta and jeff's simultaneous break up lines cracked me up though.

the girl from spirea x (f. hazel), Friday, 22 April 2011 05:37 (fifteen years ago)

ah! The montage speech was excelllent! And I loved Dean Pelton's costumes. And Abed as the Cape! Hee hee.

Did anyone else notice that at the very end when Chang walks in that the wide shot of the diorama diorama has a tiny Chang standing outside the room looking in? <3

VegemiteGrrl, Friday, 22 April 2011 05:38 (fifteen years ago)

great episode

the slow-mo stuff had me in tears

rockapads, Friday, 22 April 2011 06:02 (fifteen years ago)

we have all but the first two eps of the first season patiently waiting for us on our dvr. everytime the cable fucks up and a guy has to come out our biggest fear is that he'll take the dvr away.

something i learned today: joel mchale was born in rome and baptized in the vatican. crazy.

calling planet smurf (sunny successor), Friday, 22 April 2011 09:44 (fifteen years ago)

u mad

last night was k-classic, I'm getting nervous for the two-part paintball season finale though.

'what are you, the Hymen Protection League of America?' (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Friday, 22 April 2011 13:49 (fifteen years ago)

it's two parts!?

some dude, Friday, 22 April 2011 14:13 (fifteen years ago)

i liked 30 rock last night but this episode took the thursday night cake. and even parks & rec was awesome too and this episode still took the cake. 30 rock ended up looking a little lazy with their actual flashback montages. the whole ghost town thing...

basically all of the NBC shows were amazing last night

I just like… I just have to say… (Starts crying) (DJP), Friday, 22 April 2011 14:22 (fifteen years ago)

Will those be the first eps not named after college courses?

Johnny Fever, Friday, 22 April 2011 14:22 (fifteen years ago)

i will even be capn-save-a-Reiser and say the Henry Rollins cameo cracked me up

some dude, Friday, 22 April 2011 14:29 (fifteen years ago)

ha I just said this on the Parks & Rec thread

I just like… I just have to say… (Starts crying) (DJP), Friday, 22 April 2011 14:30 (fifteen years ago)

What is The Cape?

When Abed sneaks up on Jeff in the cafeteria and knocks over his food, I laughed so hard my dad knocked on my door to see what was happening.

popular gay automobile (a hoy hoy), Friday, 22 April 2011 14:51 (fifteen years ago)

The Cape was a failed NBC superhero show from earlier this season. Never saw it, but by all accounts it was awful.

'what are you, the Hymen Protection League of America?' (jon /via/ chi 2.0), Friday, 22 April 2011 14:52 (fifteen years ago)

IT WAS

I just like… I just have to say… (Starts crying) (DJP), Friday, 22 April 2011 14:52 (fifteen years ago)

lol at Abed yelling "six seasons and a movie!" about The Cape.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 22 April 2011 15:00 (fifteen years ago)

I laughed hard about that, and pretty much all the Cape stuff, too

rockapads, Friday, 22 April 2011 15:55 (fifteen years ago)

Will those be the first eps not named after college courses?

Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas, I believe, was the first. That may not be the actual title.

Ramen Noodles & Ketchup (R Baez), Friday, 22 April 2011 16:29 (fifteen years ago)

Modern Warfare?

rockapads, Friday, 22 April 2011 16:31 (fifteen years ago)

p sure modern warfare could be a course

just sayin, Friday, 22 April 2011 16:33 (fifteen years ago)

yah "Modern Warfare" is definitely a course title. and the pilot was just called "Pilot" obv. the only one i'm kind of on the fence about is "Pascal's Triangle Revisited."

some dude, Friday, 22 April 2011 16:35 (fifteen years ago)

I guess I'll take your word for it. It's a hard thing to Google, with all of the Call of Duty and Community references.

rockapads, Friday, 22 April 2011 16:37 (fifteen years ago)

I'm sure Modern Warfare is a 101 course at most of the service colleges, and would probably extend into civilian colleges for ROTC programs and whatever.

Johnny Fever, Friday, 22 April 2011 16:39 (fifteen years ago)

The Cape was incredibly awful, and every single one of those Cape jokes had me rolling
