Your vanilla icecream is teh biz, madchen. Midori, on the other hand, is the drink of Satan.

That pub, last night, was fun. Of sorts. When we went for a taxi outside, we randomly met that white-shellsuit-top guy from Pop League, who was wandering about with his mate looking for the Pearce Institute.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 27 March 2005 10:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, we rounded them up and took them back to Campbell's. Under his jacket, he was wearing a pink cardie!

Madchen (Madchen), Sunday, 27 March 2005 10:30 (twenty-one years ago)

He was a funny man. Sorry, Glasgow. Dot to Dot were Shit to Shit.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 27 March 2005 15:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Were you as bad as the Soul Men in Brechins, one of whom I may have gone to school with? They were bad.

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 27 March 2005 15:12 (twenty-one years ago)

Also, are you playing tomorrow or not?

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 27 March 2005 15:15 (twenty-one years ago)

No, not.

Madchen (Madchen), Sunday, 27 March 2005 15:23 (twenty-one years ago)

:(

Do you want me to bring BOOZE tomorrow? Or anything else?

ailsa (ailsa), Sunday, 27 March 2005 15:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Bring booze please, everyone who is coming.

Madchen (Madchen), Sunday, 27 March 2005 15:46 (twenty-one years ago)

am I glad I missed bot to bot, on this occasion?

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 27 March 2005 16:32 (twenty-one years ago)

You are always glad.

We were worse than we seemed.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 27 March 2005 16:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Don't have too much ice-cream without me, Glasgow.

Cathy (Cathy), Monday, 28 March 2005 16:53 (twenty-one years ago)

It's not quite gone, but it will be, soon.

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 29 March 2005 15:50 (twenty-one years ago)

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 29 March 2005 19:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi Cozen (I am not Glasgow, but please accept my "hi" in the spirit with which it is offered).

I tried Glasgow on Friday and Saturday. Yay me. I would have tried on Monday too, but I was too tired, sorry Madchen, the combined effort of shoes, shopping, Pop League and Govanaoke was too much for me.

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 29 March 2005 19:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Hope everyone is still alive after that friendly little get together!

KeefW (kmw), Sunday, 3 April 2005 20:32 (twenty-one years ago)

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 3 April 2005 22:35 (twenty-one years ago)

the best of all possible.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 3 April 2005 22:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I posted about it, on my blog.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 3 April 2005 22:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Cozen, the Laughing Cavalier.

Keith, the Pissing Somnambulist.

That was a fun party.

Ally C (Ally C), Sunday, 3 April 2005 23:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Highlight of my highlight-free week in Glasgow: last Tuesday, milling around the Food Hall downstairs at M&S, Argyle Street, minding my own business, a middle-aged lady rushes up to me excitedly and asks me (a) if I am "That Actor" and (b) do I know a "Rosemary Purdom" (Google proved unhelpful) who apparently also knows "That Actor." Sadly I could only reply to either question with a courteous, if bemused, negative.

I watched River City that evening and was satisfied that I resembled no one in the cast. Has Mac really been set up by Alice vis-a-vis the child porn or was he a perv to begin with?

Also, and finally, I have no intention of heading for the Bed Shed.

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Monday, 4 April 2005 09:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't know, where it is, your blog, RJG! I would like to read it!

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Monday, 4 April 2005 09:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm sorry, I don't really have a blog, PJ.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 4 April 2005 10:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, you are a tease, RJG!

It's never too late to start a blog.

PJ Miller (PJ Miller), Monday, 4 April 2005 10:27 (twenty-one years ago)

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 4 April 2005 11:03 (twenty-one years ago)

RJG (RJG), Monday, 4 April 2005 11:49 (twenty-one years ago)

there is a song on diplo's 'favela on blast', the guy pronounces it like that. that's not really definitive I suppose cs it cd be singing intonation.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 4 April 2005 11:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Yet again, I totally forgot to try Glasgow more. Why didn't someone remind me. Though if Keith was naked, perhaps it was wise that I stayed away.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 4 April 2005 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

I blame the victory.

RJG (RJG), Monday, 4 April 2005 15:49 (twenty-one years ago)

V for Victory

Mooro (Mooro), Monday, 4 April 2005 16:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I just found a copy of Monday's Metro lying round the house. I wouldn't describe Cook as "enigmatic". I forgot to ask you why you are the chosen band for a night dedicated to female-led music?

ailsa (ailsa), Wednesday, 6 April 2005 22:40 (twenty-one years ago)

i'm trying my glasgow trip again - fri 4/15 to sun 4/17.

lauren (laurenp), Thursday, 7 April 2005 12:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Metro? What is that? A homosexual magazine?

Onimo (GerryNemo), Thursday, 7 April 2005 12:10 (twenty-one years ago)

haha

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 7 April 2005 12:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Strength doesn't lie in numbers.
Strength doesn't lie in wealth,
Strength lies in nights of pissful slumbers,
When you wake up, wake up! It's healthy!

Madchen (Madchen), Thursday, 7 April 2005 12:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Winchester. Tonight. There will be homosexuals there, I hope. Do come.

Ally C (Ally C), Saturday, 9 April 2005 11:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, I have no money since the exhaust just fell off my car. Give me a good reason why I should go (like, tell me who's playing, tell me I can stay at your house, tell me I can get in for nothing and have drinks bought for me all night, etc).

ailsa (ailsa), Saturday, 9 April 2005 11:50 (twenty-one years ago)

fergie's playing.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 9 April 2005 11:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Barry? Sir Alex? The Duchess of York?

ailsa (ailsa), Saturday, 9 April 2005 11:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I forgot about Fergie! I have been feeling not that excited about tonight, somehow. Now I am excited about tonight.

Ally C (Ally C), Saturday, 9 April 2005 12:03 (twenty-one years ago)

I was thinking of visiting but I don't know.

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 9 April 2005 13:00 (twenty-one years ago)

Think on.

Ally C (Ally C), Saturday, 9 April 2005 13:55 (twenty-one years ago)

fergie's playing with what exactly?

sarahluv, Saturday, 9 April 2005 14:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Wait and see!

Ally C (Ally C), Saturday, 9 April 2005 14:59 (twenty-one years ago)

I think I will wait and not see, actually.

fergie's hard life is reflected in his hard playing; it's so hard, in fact, that it's impossible.

it's a shame, to miss it.
